Great gift for 12 year old
Very nice chain for my 11 year old son. He wanted something that looked older but that he would feel comfortable wearing. He loves it. It is not a thin chain, you can't put a medal on it or anything else unless the hole is large enough for the chain to fit through. He didn't want anything on it but I am just pointing it out.

The black one feels fresh and modern, and it actually reminds me of a favorite necklace I had as a kid. The gold version looks fine but is a little too brassy for my taste. Both chains are comfortable to wear, don’t tangle in my hair, and are easy to add charms to. The clasp is sturdy, the links feel durable, and for stainless steel, they’re an excellent value. Just note that these are flat links, not round, despite the description. If you’re unsure about sizing, a quick measurement with a fabric tape will help you pick the perfect length.
