T8 (1ea) 48" Royal Blue Colored Fluorescent Safety Sleeve - Tube Guard

Be VERY careful - You WILL NOT get the color shown. Using normal 32 watt T-8 4' tube, the color came out to a washed-out quite unsaturated aqua (sky blue). Ok, if you mix white and the color of the sky, this is what you get. I sliced one down the middle and doubled-up. This gave me a well-saturated color almost identical to the sky on a clear day :-)HOWEVER, I WAS NOT TRYING FOR AQUA / SKY BLUE. I was looking for something like a dark royal blue such as the tube color. Since I cut half of the tubes in order to double up, I will live with the 'Medium Aqua' color which I made by doubling up instead of sending back.Example: go into 'paintbrush' on your PC. Color codes R=191 / G=239 / B=255 is what you get (a washed-out, unsaturated aqua). By doubling-up, you get R=94 / G=215 / B=255 (a nicely saturated medium aqua).

My grandson and I made light sabers out of these.

So disappointed. They worked and looked GREAT - for about 3 months. Then the color faded. How this happens seems bizarre, but it happened to each one I bought (I bought several at once). My bulbs went from rich deep blue to lighter than ice blue. At this point I can't even tell there's a blue shade to the bulb unless I stare at it.
