EXACTLY what i wanted. My family bought me a similar Serta topper 5 yrs ago after a major surgery. My matress has seen better days. The first one was very comfortable and I was still using it but my large dog digs at the bed before laying down and did rip it. Honestly, the first one was a little too soft. I had a full open abdominal so those muscles were cut and I have bad joints , so sitting up can be tricky. I found you sink in and had to actually roll to get up. This Serta topper is much more comfortable & much easier to get up from because all though soft, it is firmer. It bounces right back after you get up. . It gives but doesn't make you sink. This helps sleeping when you have joint pain. I didnt feel as hot with it as much as the first either but could just be me. It came in a solid box ,( grandkids LOVE the box with the sheep and large flaps lol) compressed, well wrapped and in a duffle bag. It was fully expanded as soon as I opened it. I didnt notice any smells. This was the best sleep I've had in a long time and at this price I've considered buying an extra when it inevitably rips and wears down but I've read some reviews online that toppers didn't fully expanded after stored a long time. Ill just enjoy this till it dies and replace it then. It was very fast shipping also. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS & WILL buy again!

Great memory foam mattress for the price. This is a great alternative to replacing my whole mattress. Great quality mattress, so comfortable and soft. The mattress doesn’t move around when I sleep which is awesome. My back pain is gone. Definitely recommend this mattress.

I haven't been a fan of memory foam in the past, but I went on vacation and slept on a memory foam bed. I noticed my back was not hurting as much, I've had chronic back pain for years. So when I got home I added this topper to my bed. The first night or two took some getting used to, but my back was feeling better so I stuck with it. Its been and week now and I must say, I don't think I could sleep well without it now...once you get used to it, its really comfy and I don't wake up with back pain anymore and better through the day.. *The downside is that it is not "cooling" and I'm a hot sleeper. We just had a heatwave, so I think it'll be better as the weather gets colder. I would definitely recommend this to those with back pain, it made a big difference for me. Update: still sleeping better, however on the nights that my back is really bothering me, it's challenging to turn over, since you sink a bit into the memory foam. I am still sleeping more solidly, dreaming a lot, which means I am getting more REM sleep than in the past.

Hands down the best decision I made to get this. My regular spring mattress isn't quite to the point where the springs are popping out, but I felt it wasn't as supportive, and I kept waking up with lower back pain. This mattress topper is maybe like 15 pounds, and the box wasn't nearly as big as I thought it'd be. Maybe like 13x13 inches. It's all super rolled up with plastic inbetween the layers and then saran wrapped into a tight little bundle, inside a zippered serta cylinder. Unfurling and decompressing took no time at all. There was a chemically smell if you really put your face into it directly. Once I put a mattress protector over it and then my fitted sheets, don't smell a thing. The first few sleeps my neck was a little sore because I think my body is adjusting to the change in support. But once I got used to it, it's like the best sleep I've had in a long long time. It feels like a whole new mattress from a luxurious hotel. I barely want to get out of bed anymore. And because of the memory foam, it's just like on TV where you can toss and turn nut your partner will not feel it. Also it doesn't make me feel hot or sweaty, and I normally run hot when I sleep too. My original mattress doesn't have a pillow top and thankfully my fitted sheets are already built with deep pockets so it now perfectly fits my mattress with the foam topper on top. I got this on sale for like $60. Best investment ever and beats buying a whole new mattress!

This is the best most comfortable foam mattress topper. It’s thick and makes sleeping so comfortable. Fits perfectly on my king bed. I did not leave it 24 hours after opening before use. Prob about 6 hours and have had no problems.

I bought this Serta ThermaGel topper (3-inch, Full size) to add some life to an older mattress that was starting to feel a bit too firm and lumpy. I wanted something that would offer pressure relief without making me overheat, and this has been a fantastic upgrade. Pros: Instant Comfort Upgrade: The 3-inch thickness is substantial. You definitely sink into it, but it feels supportive rather than just squishy. It significantly reduced the pressure points on my hips and shoulders. Cooling Effect: I tend to sleep hot, so I was hesitant about memory foam. However, the "ThermaGel" technology actually seems to work. It feels breathable and stays cooler than standard yellow foam toppers I've used in the past. Brand Quality: It’s nice to see it’s "Made in the USA." The foam feels dense and durable, not cheap or flaky. It expanded to its full shape pretty quickly after unboxing. No Slip: The texture of the foam seems to grip the mattress well enough that it doesn't slide around too much under the fitted sheet. Cons/Things to Note: Initial Smell: Like almost all memory foam products, it had a slight "new foam" smell right out of the box. I let it air out for about 24 hours before putting sheets on it, and the smell went away completely. Care: The instructions say "Spot Clean Only," so I highly recommend using a waterproof or thick mattress protector over it just to keep it clean, as you can't throw this in the washing machine. Verdict: If you aren't ready to buy a brand-new mattress but need better sleep quality, this is a very cost-effective solution. It turned a mediocre bed into a luxury feel.

Item had black stain on it. I unwrapped hoping it wasn’t that bad so I unrolled it and it doesn’t fit bed. I followed directions it got a little better when puffed up but still unknown stain and too small. If not for those items it’d be great 5 stars but those are big deals and can’t reach them till Monday. Packaging was awesome otherwise it would be 2 stars. Looks like good quality I think I just got a bad one that slipped through. I will change rating if they fix it

Our mattress is older and is made of foam (not memory foam). It definitely got a bit too firm as it aged and we had put a Serta gel-foam topper on it prior that needed replacing. Really, the mattress needs to be replaced, but we're postponing that while doing other home improvement projects! So, I went with a new Serta topper since the previous one had worked so well. We're happy with it and it is comparable to the one we had before. I can imagine a thicker, denser topper might provide additional comfort, but this one is a great value and meets our needs. I purchased the 3 inch and would NOT buy the 2 inch - at least not for adults. It might be okay for a small child's bed.

I really like this topper. I tend to sleep like a fired brick and this topper has actually distributed my heat well and kept me cool and comfortable through the night. 10/10 recommend.

The memory foam is very comfortable! However I prefer to be a cold sleeper, this thing holds heat.
