I use this for a kitchen cleaning sponge, not for dishes. I have a flat, glass top stove that had discoloration/spots from various accidents/boil-overs that resulted in food or liquid getting baked into the stove. I bought some super expensive cleaning paste from Norwex that did a better than average job, but I could never get all spots off. I got the Nanosponge a few days ago and have been using it for cleaning tasks. I love the oversize sponge and how it helps clean more surface area in less time. I love the double side texture of scrub and super soft microfiber, so at this point I know I like the sponge, but no "WOW" factor going on. Fast forward to tonight and I'm wiping up the kitchen after dinner. My husband fried bacon this morning so of course the stove is a greasy mess because we all know most men lack the ability to see those things (sorry if I offended anyone). I get down my super expensive cleaning paste and start my normal stove top cleaning routine. I sprayed on multi purpose cleaner to wipe off the majority of the bacon grease. Then I put some Norwex cleaning paste on the scouring side of my new Nanosponge and scrubbed the stove top, then rinsed that off with water while using the soft side. Just running on autopilot I grab the drying/shining cloth to finish up. When I was done I looked at the stove and had to do a double take. ALL those baked in spots were gone...never expected that from this sponge, but pleasantly surprised and soooo very thankful. I never thought my stove top would ever look like new again. I am the queen of buying products that make promises but never live up to their claims which is probably why I don't get too excited and "WOWed" anymore over new finds. I can't speak to any of the claims made about using the sponge with just water and not needing any cleaner. I can't do that, but there is something special about this little, I mean over sized, sponges ability to clean. I didn't get this product for free, or for any discounted price. I paid full price and am just happy I found something that amazed me so I wanted to share.

I never thought I'd take the time to write a review about sponges, or even really care, but these things ROCK! I waited a couple of months to review these, since I wanted to see how they held up to daily use. Let me say that I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I use them for dishes, wiping countertops, scrubbing the sink, etc etc. They are super durable, and have cut my use of paper towels and crappy, gross fake cellulose sponges to a bare minimum. They really work and they really have zero odor! I throw mine in the dishwasher (or the microwave in a dish of soapy water) every week or two for a deep clean, and the results are fantastic. One thing that should be mentioned, these are NOT heavy duty pot scrubbers. While one side is more "abrasive," and perfect for most items, you'll still want to keep a scrubber for pots with stuck-on food on hand. I've had no problem with nonstick pots, dishes, etc but have had to bust out the old nonscratch green pad for the rare, really bad pots. Other than that, I will never buy another pack of the "blue" sponges again!!!

I'm changing my review because part of using these is knowing how to use them and they don't necessarily tell you. The Wait I use them is to polish things more than cleaning them. I don't recommend using them for super dirty grimy things although they do a good job. But it will ruin them. For example, cleaning a window: First clean the window with soap and water and some other sponge, a cheaper one. Once it is mostly clean then use the nano sponge with just water on the rough side and then polish the window or mirror with the spongy drying side. The beauty of it is that it leaves no streaks and yes, with just water. We also use it on our stainless steel sink to keep it beautiful. We clean the sides of the sink every night with a sponge and then use the nano sponge to polish it with the rough side and dry it with the cloth side. It keeps the stainless steel from making water spots and keeps it looking like new. And these things are a miracle for cleaning the inside of your car windows. I spent over an hour using several different types of cloths and sponges including microfiber cloths to clean the inside of my car window. Each time it came out with streaks all over it no matter what I used, including window cleaner. But with the above method, I did it much faster and it came out completely streakless with the nano sponge. Now as far as cleaning heavy dirty jobs, I have also done that. But what I do is I keep one for dirty jobs and one for clean jobs like mirrors and windows as above. When using it for a dirty job I still recommend cleaning it as well as you can with another sponge or cloth first. For me, the nano sponge is best for finishing jobs, not for starting them. While they do a good job, they become ruined more quickly when you use them for a dirty jobs. For me they are totally worth buying just for cleaning windows and mirrors and sinks to keep them looking clean without streaks or water spots.

These are just one of the BEST things I have ever purchased!! Even though mine had a couple open spots on the seams. I just sewed them up on my sewing machine and my money was refunded. I did not want to waste gas and oil returning them! They are just the BEST!! You can read other reviews about how well they work. I tried them recently on the gummy residue after taking off a sticker! You know that stuff we all have trouble getting off! NO problem for this scrubbie. Half a minute of scrubbing and it was gone! Then the other day I tried something I was sure would Not work! I had left something in my pocket that melted and made a hand size oil stain on my favorite pants. I have only one non environmentally safe product I use to remove stains and save my clothes. However, the sponge was sitting by the sink, so I just gave it a try..for fun. Wet it and scrubbed the stain gently about one minute on each side of the fabric (cotton) and left it to dry. It is gone!!! No oil stain!! I am sure it might not work on all stains and all fabrics, however, you are just using Water!! So give it a try!! I hand wash dishes and this sponge rocks! It is a little bigger than a normal sponge and I learned to adjust to using it! Wait until you try it on the inside of your car windows! So much easier and NO streaking! One wet sponge and one dry nano cloth! You will clean the outside too and it will look like you don't have a windshield! I just wash mine with a couple drops of soap in a bowl I am washing so it never gets to the washing machine. Or just put some soap on it and ring out a few times under water. Clean it about once every other day or so since I use it for every thing. OH...and when finished with the dishes, just wipe around your sink and you will rarely have to clean it again!

I just began using this sponge & already love. I'm used to using a smaller sponge & thought the bigger size of this sponge would feel uncomfortable. But after washing a sinkful of dishes, this is the best sponge I've used in a long time. Because it's bigger than a standard sponge it covers more surface space making it to easy to clean dishes & pots. It cleans food particles off very easily & quickly. A little soap goes a long way as the sponge holds soap for a while so you don't have to add more after every 2-3 dishes. Some reviews have stated that the sponge comes apart along the edges. Since I just started using it, I can't say that's true. It seems it may after continued use. However, I think I will get many many uses out of this sponge before it begins to fall apart. Nothing lasts forever.

I really, really wanted to love this sponge. I’m a big believer in reducing chemicals in the home & our overall impact on the environment. The thought of going free from cleaning products was appealing, but honestly I didn’t find that possible with this sponge. Our first use of the sponge was after a dinner that was cooked in a skillet with a glass lid. We tried the ‘only hot water’ suggestion and were disappointed. While the sponge did a great job of removing the cooked on food bits from the pan, it also felt greasy during the cleaning. Even with copious amounts of hot water, we were not able to get the glass lid to be grease free. At one point my husband commented on whether the sponge was actually an environmental choice if it required the use of more water to clean without cleaning products... good poimt, actually. Not willing to admit defeat, we put the sponge to the test a few days later on a greasy pan from bacon. This was a double whammy - the sponge and pan felt greasy, and the little bacon bits got buried in the mesh on the scrubbing side. Big bummer. In the end, I really didn’t find it possible to use them with only hot water. In our case, we are sticking with environmentally safe ‘green’ dish soaps and cleaning products as they get the job done with less water. As for the sponge’s antibacterial properties, this applies only to the sponge itself. It should be noted that you still need to use some type of disinfectant if you want to sanitize a surface (e.g. cutting boards). As for disinfecting the sponge itself, the trick is the same with these as any other sponge: 2 minutes in microwave, throw it in the d/w, or sanitize with vinegar. PROs: Durable, good size, absorbent material, will probably last longer than other sponges CONs: Despite claims, food does stick to the scrubbing side, not great at cleaning greasy food residue, still needed to use dish soap, or disinfectant for counters.

Ordered these after ordering & loving 2 sets of the nano towels after hee-hawing whether to try. Cleaning with just water? Not so sure about that, but I stand corrected. These are the best sponges ever! I've been using the sponge for about a month now & am simply amazed. The sponge is larger than normal, which takes a little getting used to. Now I actually prefer the larger size. The sponge wrings almost completely dry & air dries quickly. I live in a hot & very humid area & unbelievable that there is no odor at all, ever - unprescedented! I don't use a dishwasher, just simply hand wash every now & then with anti-bacterial soap & air dry. Very easy to wring out into a very small ball & springs back to full size readily. I have small hands, so this is a big plus. Outstanding to wash Instant Pot stainless inner pot & have cut down use of barkeeper's friend to remove rainbow & spots with barely a swipe, little scrubbing. The pot is almost dry after wiping & ready to be stored after washing dishes. I use for hand-washing dishes, wiping countertops, just everything. The set I received is grey on one side & looks like the same material as the nano towel. The scrubber side is non-scratch but powerful. I will definitely buy more of these for all around the house & highly recommend. I originally balked at the price, but these are well worth the cost.

Doesn’t do everything claimed, (silver) but sure does most of it.

First bought one of these in 2015 when i was in LA that sponge has lasted 8 bloody years ! Thats how good it is. I just had to buy another one.

These are the best, don't get smelly, wash in washing machine and they last for ages

I do prefer the smaller ones. Easier to manage.
