A Must-Have in Every Kitchen – Kichly Cast Iron Utensils
I’ve been using Kichly cast iron utensils for the past 7 months, and I can confidently say they’ve completely transformed my cooking experience. Whether it’s biryani, bread, pasta, Indian curries, dosas, crepes, or even baking – these versatile pans and pots handle everything with ease. They've truly become a staple in my daily kitchen routine. What sets them apart is not just their versatility, but the added health benefit – they naturally infuse iron into your food, which is great for anyone mindful of their nutritional intake. The heat retention and even heat distribution ensure consistently delicious results. Like all quality cast iron cookware, these require a bit of maintenance. After each use, I wash, dry, and grease them lightly with oil while still warm. This helps maintain their seasoning and prevents rusting. Some users may notice a black residue during oiling – but rest assured, that’s completely normal and part of the seasoning process. With regular use and proper care, the utensils only improve over time. Also, adjusting the cooking temperature properly helps make the surface beautifully nonstick. If you’re looking for durable, high-performance cookware that’s both functional and health-conscious, I highly recommend Kichly cast iron utensils. With just a little care, they’ll reward you with a lifetime of satisfying cooking.

Heavy cast iron pan set, good
I took the precaution of re-seasoning this when it arrived as it did appear a little dull, it may have been fine. What you get is a great pair of pans that can be used as a frying pan plus separate deeper pan or together as a "dutch oven". They have a good weight, not too heavy for the short handles but weighty enough to hold considerable heat energy. Whilst cooking bacon and eggs or an omelette the heat distribution appears good. I bought this version as it is big enough for use whilst camping rather than as an enormous casserole pot for use at home and it will be adequate for that. Cleaning has been easy so far, just allowing it to cool a little draining off the excess oil and using salt and kitchen towel to "scrub" out any sticky bits. A final rinse with plain water (no detergent) and wipe to ensure that it is dry before storage is all that is needed. It works well on an induction hob, both the home one and the single one I have for camping.

Excellent value
I have had this pan for nearly two years and it has been used on the stove, bbq, oven and even open fires without issue. It is versatile, a dutch oven, casserole, skillet and pan all in one. Yes it is cast iron and so yes it will rust easily if not looked after properly but if you learn how to look after cast iron properly (seasoning, cleaning etc) then it is perfectly fine. I expect this will last me many many years…

Fantastic iron cast
Absolutely fantastic quality! They arrived pre seasoned but I seasoned them anyway, works fantastic, nothing sticks, perfect for steaks as heat is equally distributed, but also great for anything else. Mind that it's not for people who don't have enough time to take care of pans after cooking, they need to be dry out completely and rub with oil after use but it's definitely worth spending 5 extra min. Also very smart design, love the fact that pan can work as a lid as well and price is fantastic. Recommended!

Careful with the 'seasoning' treatment
This cast iron skillet (because that's what it is) redefines "rough cast", the interior being sandpaperlike and the lid having a finish that resembles a lunar surface. It's so rough that it left scratch marks when nudged out of the way on a crowded worktop. Then there's the "coating" or "pre-seasoning" this item boasts. In reality it seems to be a thick tar-like substance that appears to have been daubed on after casting. Being of a suspicious nature, I decided to clean it off an season the pan in the traditional way and, to my horror, what came off was a foul, black residue that permanently stained a scouring pad and a dishcloth. I'm glad I didnlt try cooking in THAT stuff! So, to summarise - low quality, poor finish and unlikely to ever be non-stick. Mine's going to the next jumble sale.

Excellent quality
I am very happy with these. Actually better than I expected. They are very heavy and robust.

Broken handle
The handle arrived broken, it should be thicker.

LOVE this pan. Such a high quality product and truly I use it every day. A good cast iron set like this will have you replacing so many other pans because they are just that good! Great for everything from everyday cooking and sauteeing to deep frying and baking. Also this particular set was such a steal at just €30 for the big pot and matching skillet. Definitely would recommend this unit to anyone! Ps cast iron is not hard to take care of! Don’t be intimidated!
