Used to build custom closet shelving out of melamine. Works great. But need to pre-drill the holes.

Worked great; didn't split the material
These screws worked very well and did not split the 3/4" melamine board I was using them on. I made sure to pre-drill holes with a proper bit to ensure there were no issues.

Great hardware for shelving project
Specialized screw I did not know was available makes blue and screw shelving project much sturdier. Very pleased with product and results product gave me in my project.

Best way
This is hands down the best way to attach melamine. I have tried them all dowels, screws, etc. These pull and hold tight and act as dowels so its like two in one. Get the special drill bit and these screws and you are all set. I deducted 1 star for cost. You can find them in bulk much cheaper but if you need them in a hurry you pay.

Great fasteners for mdf and particle board
These fasteners are for euro style assembly of cabinets using mdf or particle board, such as melamine surfaced board. Absolutely awesome fasteners. They require a special bit (you can get it from Snappy) but allow assembly without glue. The assembled joint is very strong, and the cabinet could be disassembled and flat packed, since there is no glue.

Cheaply made. Many are non-uniform and some will break from bad quality. They’ll get the job done, but if you can afford it get better quality.

book case screws
Screws worked great in particle board shelving that they are designed for, for a lot less money than local hardware store, if they would have them.

Works well, so long as you have a proper Pozidrive driver.
Used to build custom sized shelving for my lab/office. Screws work well as combination dowels and screws producing a strong joint between particle board panels - or at least about as strong as you can reasonably expect in particle board panels. When used in conjunction with the appropriate stepped drill bit, the screws drive home easily and securely but you do need a proper Pozidrive driver tip. If you're unfamiliar with Pozidrive, it may look similar to a Philips head, but it's not a Philips head and if you try to drive these in with a Philips head driver, you may have a bunch of swearing and cursing in your future.

These work great for MDF and plywood. Make sure to buy the special step drill that you need to pre-drill.
