Portacool Pump-CYC-3 Cyclone Replacement Pump, Fits 2000 and 3000 Evaporative Coolers, Model

A little bit of a pain to replace but not too bad, the design of porta-cools is ingenious in their simplicity. I think this pump might be better than the pump was when it was new. I'm very happy with the replacement pump. I'm guessing mine has been dying for a while I forgot how strong it was although it is possible mine was never this strong. I'm leaning toward the latter as the original pump always seemed anemic to me. This one is not anemic and works perfectly!

Great. Pump works well and it was delivered same day. That saved the day for us. This pump is the replacement pump for our original. It didn’t fit the original bracket but the new one has sturdy feet to keep it upright. Very impressed with the same day delivery and it looks stalled easily in our portacool. We are cool again.

Install was easy. Working well so far.

I bought this pump for my portacool swamp cooler and it lasted about 10-14 days. I usually use a different one, that also sucks, but I at least get 3-4 months out of them. This one, the impeller became loose in the housing and stopped creating enough pressure to send water up the hose. You can hear the impeller bouncing around. Cheap parts I guess. I bought this one because it looks more robust and has the filter you can clean, but that means nothing if the internal parts don’t last.

Not too hard to install. It is definitely Plug and Play for my PortaCool 2000. This is a strong pump....stronger than the original without a doubt. The media was saturated very quickly with this pump. Highly Recommended!
