My Friend Freddy Bear Soft Toy

i dont know how to rate this. as a plushy collector the seams and fur of medium-high quality. it sits well on a /level/ surface and the velcro back for the electronics is unobtrusive. the eyes where also perfect, as one expects for new.when you turn it on it's fun and says about 7 or 8 preset things wich is fine for the price (compare a popples hat only says 5 things and is the same price)as to the bluetooth function: it does indeed work like a bluetooth speaker. paring was fast too on my asus k013. for those that have issue with this the listing on amozon doesnt tell you but the website for genisis does you need bluetooth ver 3.0 and up.The app: the app is kinda limited and seems to get stuck for me after 3 questions if you use the play button to interact. it seems it listens to long before giving up on the correct response to what it said. and I mean a correct response!!the games work great and was really fun and seemless!the mouth moves about 1/4 inch or less, i belive its to keep fingers out, but its safe cause its spring loaded and opening further or the moving action has a large amount of give like 3/4 inch more. i wish his mouth open more on movement....Now as to my only 4 stars i find NO way to change the volume when he is not connected to blutooth, and he is way to chatty if bumped or he thinks he is upside down. X.x

Very cute bear! I know I this might sound embarrassing but even though this is a "baby" toy, I, a 24 year old man, bought it for myself for Christmas. I like it because it's robotic and plush-and because I like toys being a kid at heart. I even share it w/ my wife because she loves it too and downloaded the app like me. We're definitely going to let our future babies play w/ it and maybe someday get the pink one. It fits build-a-bear clothes but it doesn't have a tail.My favorite feature besides the mouth moving is that it says whee! When you throw it.FYI because it's a Bluetooth speaker, if you make calls on your phone when it's connected to the bear, it will have the other person's voice come out of the bear sounding like the bear is talking like the person on the phone. Cool feature! And that works w/ all sounds from your phone or tablet or whatever w/ the app and Bluetooth. This was my favorite Christmas present this year. I put a Charlie Brown outfit on him from Build-a-Bear.

This is super cute. We found it by accident and I'm so glad we did. My nine year old thought of something like this as a Christmas gift for his baby sister who loves teddy bears and our search led us here. It was priced so well I figured it was worth a shot. It arrived quickly and my son and I set it up on his iPad very easily. He probobaly could've done it by himself it was that easy and fun to do. The gift was very well received by a one as a half year old and I'm sure it will provide lots of entertainment. The four year old likes it too. Just today the bear was singing along to Christmas songs from the iPad. Fun fun!

I have no idea how it will work, as I am using it as a pick a child-gender-age off a tree on my local church. Or to auction for the a dog rescue charity. Seems like it will be a great gift for a 2-3 yr old boy.

The games as part of the app are well worth the price alone. The cute bear to hug doesn't hurt either for my little boy. Two toys in one.

I brought this product as the reviews were so bad I thought it would make the perfect secret Santa present (for a grown up!) and how right was I!!! yes it's creepy, but in a cute way! I can honestly say we had hours of fun programming Freddy to say some naughty things, (you had be there!) the recipient was totally unaware of us controlling it with the App (which only crashed once in the whole night!) I'm just gutted now he has a new home! In fact I think I might buy myself one now! And what a bargain!!!

Truly creepy. The phrases and voice installed in the bear sound like they are grooming my child. Very sinister, to the point that we chose not to install the app where you can add personal details and the bear can chat to your child like he really knows them. I would be concerned over who has designed this bear. And yes, typically my child loves it.

Batteries don't last long, interaction isn't great and the laugh is possibly one of the creepiest things I've ever heard - my son was terrified (so was I)

Bought this for my 2 yr old and it's a waste of money as it is very disappointing as the app is rubbish and it does very little . The voice is terrible and the bear doesn't pronounce words correctly and says very little even if alot of information is entered. Don't buy and waste your money

Ordered this then read all the bad reviews which panicked me. When arrived its not half as bad as people make out.

Interactive and personalised the teddy that creates endless fun and also introduces kids to there first smart tech of there own. I love the way you personalise the names the speech and the interaction abilitys the app enables you to create a teddy that your child will really be able to call their friend.

Although my son loves it, you have to have your phone, running the app, in the same room at the same time it's being used otherwise it doesn't remember the info.How about a memory?

Gr8 for the price . just as another teddy . Voice is loud and creepy and annoying though.

If I could I would give this a zero star rating, for it to work in the way the description says it has to be connected to the phone so that it will tell stories or speak the child's name, if it isn't all it says is it doesn't like to be left upside down absolute pile of rubbish.

This teddy is terrifying it has the creepiest voice with a girls laugh and says phrases like " I want to play with you" "you make me larf*" my daughter hates it she says it keeps saying its staring at her and she crys if we him turn him on to talk as his mouth makes an odd clunky sound when it movesGlad I only paid what I did would be gutted if I paid rrp

I did like the app that you could down load and make Fredy Bear personalized , it just sounds a bit odd that it is a male voice speaking and a female voice laughing, but it is well worth the money my children have not put it down.

I bought this as a birthday present for my granddaughter but we cannot get the app to work so it does not meet my expectations and is not fit for the purpose intended. It will be returned as soon as I can collect it from her.Very disappointed. Nanny
