have you corrected the eating port that is made out of plastic and has been complained about over and over?

I read here that flexiports have been an issue. Less than 2 weeks up and already destroyed. After fix, anyway to keep from happening again?

I have not had a problem with the ports where the birds stand on. Other feeders the squirrels chewed and destroyed several. Nothing so far with this feeder.
