Didn't know I needed this!
Also a great gift for readers; e-readers and book readers. When I first opened it, I thought it might have been a waste of money, BUT as I used it more I'm glad I bought it. I primarily use it for books and it does work well. I've only tried two different size books so far and they both fit pretty good. Some books are heavy and sometimes my hands get tired, or I'm reading in bed and start to fall asleep and the book always falls. This is comfy and holds the book up. I don't think it would work as well on a small paperback. The tabs on the bottom sometimes gets in the way of the sentences, but you have to pick the book up to turn the page anyways, so that doesn't really bother me. All-in-all good purchase.

Not Perfect
It kinda holds bigger books, but you have tomove it around a lot to keep it upright and viewable.

Mom can read again!
My mom's eyesight is quite bad and the poor thing is stuck using a special pump for her arm twice a day - getting her this reading pillow rest has been a wonderful help. She can put her book at a good angle that catches more light and use it one-handed while she's got her other arm in the pump-sleeve. Makes things much nicer for her.

Doesn’t hold a book up
It doesn’t hold a book up. It does hold a kindle or iPad great but not an actual book

I can pick it up with one hand it’s a nice pillow material
I’m not one to give reviews but I had too with this. I recently broke my wrist and elbow needed surgery. Will be a 3 to 6 month recovery. Wanted something to sit on my lap so I could use my iPad, sit my phone on so I can FaceTime with family or just talk on the phone without holding it. Reading a book is really nice holds book open for you. Has a few little pockets in back I keep my earphones in etc. when not using I stand my iPad on it and my phone next to it on my side table easy for me to access. I received it the day before my surgery and used right away to keep somethings accessible. In case you haven’t notice I love this product it works for me.

This cushion is a excellent idea to hold anything.
I got this to hold my books. I’m losing strength in my arms and hands so this item is brilliant. It’s easy to keep it on your knees or a table, it won’t fall over, the bottom side has thick plastic and theirs two small square bits fixed onto the thick plastic bottom, it’s stops your books from losing its place in pages. It also stops phone’s ect from falling off the cushion. I would definitely recommend this item, especially if you’re having trouble with holding thing’s because they’ve become too heavy for one to hold. The price is especially good considering, I would’ve had to pay a great deal of money to do exactly the same thing that this cushion does. I think it’s important I tell everybody that it’s useful for everyone especially the disabled

It doesn't hold fiction books.
I bought this stupidly based on reviews. As a tablet holder its great. I was swayed by the mentions of holding books. Ok so I wasn't really expecting it to hold a thick large book. But I tried a standard type paperback in. If you like breaking the spines or its been read a million times it's probably ok. And it would be ok for thin sturdy books, and magazines ..but hold my book it did not. I opened it out, cringing as I bent the spine back but it didn't matter what I did the pages just slipped under the holders anyway. Images shown best holding of the pages, thickness of the book and after 2 seconds. Wish I'd just ignored the gleam of a book holder and gone for a much cheaper tablet holder.

A brilliant tablet holder
An absolutely brilliant tablet holder and book rest for my wife who is disabled. Sturdy, easy to put the book/tablet in and not heavy so easy to move around and use.

Nice item, bit pricey
Bit pricey but I love it! I imagine.it could possibly tip back if you had a large or heavy tablet, but suits my Galaxy tab S6. Guess what friends will be getting for Christmas if the price comes down a bit? Why not add a side pocket to take a power bank for recharging on the hoof? Beg your pardon, just found pockets on the back...though why Amazon have put my photo upside-down i do NOT understand!
