This piece should not touch boiling water because it is above than max water-filled line. However, it is BPA free. **Q: Where is it made?** A: This Kettle is made in China **Q: Is it possible to remove the plastic steam inlet cover?** A: Yes, it can physically can be removed because there are screws. Although we strongly recommend that the steam inlet cover is not removed. Here are several reasons why we do not recommend. It is not intended to be removed by the user for any reason including cleaning purpose. The part also affects the switch on the bottom that determines that the water has boiled based on the steam and temperature. It is also an important part for turning off the heater, This inlet cover is BPA Free. What would be the intended purpose for removing this piece? **Q: I have the white toaster oven, which is an off white. Is the kettle the same off white as the toaster oven?** A: I have both the white matte finish tea kettle and the toaster oven. They are the same color. The only drawback on the kettle is that it doesn't hold as much water as a traditional tea kettle. Probably around 16 oz. but I'm not sure. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ LOVE THIS - great balance and a pleasure to use *by B***N on December 30, 2025* It's expensive but since I use it so much, well worth it. Pouring out of it is a real pleasure. It seems a little wobbly on the stand when it's empty, but it balances out nicely when there's water in it. Love how it automatically turns off when you pick it up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ so good *by Y***N on September 6, 2026* my fav ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Steady and beautiful *by M***Z on November 18, 2021* It’s matte black is very satisfying and cozy. The ease of use has helped on mornings and nights when I’m exhausted or very busy and just need everything to go right. It takes a short time to heat up and won’t make a ton of water hot but it’s good for one or two people and I can leave it out all the time. ## Frequently Bought Together - BALMUDA The Kettle | Electric Gooseneck Kettle | Lightweight | Stainless Steel | 0.6L (20fl oz) Capacity | Neon Light Indicator | Perfect for Tea and Coffee | US Version | Black - BALMUDA The Brew | Automatic Pour Over Coffee Maker | Clear Brewing Method | Precise Temperature Regulation | Three Brewing Modes: Regular, Strong, Iced | Compact Design | US Version --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/208186864-balmuda-the-kettle](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/208186864-balmuda-the-kettle) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
