Exact Replacement for a 5KCP39FGS071S...no doubt about it!
This was easy to install as the wires were plenty long and I didn't need to cut the arbor. Truly, the most difficult part of the job was to remove the fan blade from the old motor...Youtube has examples for how to get that fan blade off when it has been rusted on for years...and years. I replaced the capacitor as well and highly recommend that both be replaced. On the clockwise vs. counter clockwise issue-- This motor when mounted in the unit spins "Clockwise" and arrow on the motor shows the direction that is will turn. Now, when you take the motor out of the box with the arbor pointed up towards you, from that perspective it would be "Counter Clockwise" and perhaps that confuses the issue. Don't be confused-this motor when mounted in the unit with the arbor pointed down...the fan will be turning "clockwise" as it should. P.S. Grease the fan arbor on the new motor so it won't be as difficult to take off next time.

Very short life span, customer service gives you return authorization but does not honor it
Bought this in June last year 2024 , Itโs May 2025 motor failed . Motor was an easy installation no issues, Fan did work well while it lasted. But it has not been a year and the AC hasnโt really been used all winter . Summer is heat fan is not working . I finally reached their customer service line received a RMA # sent in my return along with the Return authorization Number , written on a paper and on the UPS sticker , it costed me $41.00 to ship it back to them . Never received anything have tried reaching them but canโt get passed there automated system that does nothing to help . So i definitely am not recommending this company or its product. Do not by these motors they gave a very limited life span putting your AC compressor at risk of overheating. Gave them a chance to name it right , I truly be they were going to help only made me pay out of pocket to return item , so Iโm out of my money for the motor , for the return. Very disappointed customer. Update 7/4/25 I finally received the motor replacement after reaching out to them various times, a month later, I already purchased another motor as the summer heat was ticking up and I have ill family members in my home elderly , got tired of waiting. Now they did send me a replacement , urgency is not in their vocabulary. Itโs a very slow process.

The motor was an extract replacement. The wires had the same connections. Easy swap out. I had it in my garage for two years waiting for the original motor to fail. Iโm glad that I did.

Works, Needs Real Documentation
I'd love to have a professional replace my A/C unit's compressor fan motor, but it's simply too expensive. The alternative is to do it myself or to close the business on hot days, which would also be too expensive. That only leaves the one option. This motor only comes with generic documentation that applies to a huge range of motors and, hence, is pretty useless. No wiring diagram. The wires are brown, blue, and black. The motor I was replacing had brown, yellow, and black. The brown wires turned out to be the same, but the black ones were not -- the blue wire on this motor matched up to the black wire on the old motor, and so that was an extra two hours of installation time, because I had to go up and down a ladder and a flight of stairs to turn the power on and off. Actual documentation would have made installation a snap. So it goes. If the capacitor for your motor is old, or even if you're just not sure, you might as well get a new one -- I got one recommended for this motor for under $15. Order it at the same time, and you'll probably get them at the same time. If you install the motor and it won't start, and it might be the capacitor, you'll wish you had a new capacitor on hand. And a motor that has trouble starting may burn itself out, which won't make you happy, either. That said, if this motor does match your old one, it's probably four screws and three wires and swap the fan blade assembly. Pros quoted me $600, and I was able to do it for $115. I have nothing against professionals, but I don't an extra $500. If you can install an electrical outlet safely, you can watch a YouTube video or two and swap out your A/C compressor motor. But safety first. And take photos of wiring before you disconnect things.

Damaged wiring
Received the motor today shipping box was not damaged, but when we took the motor out of the packing, the three wires were crimped and the brown wire had the copper wire showing. The product did come in on time and was as described.
