Extremely underrated heated brush!
Before I buy anything, I do lots of research. This brush almost never showed up on any top 10, or "best of" lists back in 2023 when I bought it. This was going to be my first brush. I didn't want to spend a lot of money for something I might use only once, and decide I don't like it. So, when I saw Tame the Wild, and all the accessories, the good reviews on Amazon and the low price, I decided to go for it. 3 years later, this is my story. 1 year after using Tame the Wild(ttw), I decided I would try a cordless heated brush. The cord didn't really get in the way, but I had the money, and Aberlite had a really snazzy looking cordless that was getting rave reviews, so I bought. It looks really good. It has many heat settings, while ttw has only 3. I used the Aberlite for about 2 weeks trying to convince myself it was better than ttw. Except it wasn't. It was much heavier. If I didn't seat it right in it's dock, I would find the battery was dead the next day, even though it has an auto-shut off. I eventually pulled out the ttw and stopped using the Aberlite cordless. It's still sitting on my counter. It was too expensive to stick it under my counter, and it does look good. So, fast forward, the begining of April 2026. I decide to see what's new in the world of heated brushes. I see some new companies and lots of new brushes. So, I Google the top beard brushes of 2024, then of 2025, then 2026, just to see what I have missed. Aberlite is on top. I never see Tame the Wild in one single Top 10, or Best of, review. I see that Aberlite EDC, and Aberlite Pocket are on top of many reviews. Not always number 1, but always in the top 5. It must be a fantastic experience, so I bought the EDC. It showed up yesterday. I used it today, and it prompted me to come here and finally write about my experience. I did not like the EDC from the moment i first picked it up. I have it a chance though. There was something different that I didn't like. I unplugged it, mid-use, and plugged in my ttw. I was trying to figure out what makes it so much better than the EDC, and I realized it is the handle design. The Aberlite designs are all straight, but ttw has a design that is not straight (except for the pro version) and it's the "not straight" design that gives it the edge over the others I have tried. It allows my hand to stay a little bit further from my face as I'm brushing. The Aberlites had my hand right up against my face. My beard is short. By short, i mean 1 to 2 inches from my face. Ttw is perfect for this length. The ttw isnt as pretty looking as some of the other ones out there, but don't let that fool you. They didn't waste money on appearance when constructing this. There is one functioning button controlling 3 heat settings. The settings are shown by lights, not numbers. I use the second setting. It also has an auto-shut off. It will shut off while im using it, but ive gotten into the habit of checking to make sure its still turned on every time i pick it up. It doesn't seem to take long to heat up. I'm sorry this is so long, but if you are a first time buyer, you can appreciate this story. I would never have known about the need for heat protection if it wasn't for the spray that comes with the Tame the Wild kit. I still use it everyday. When you run out, when it's available, you can buy it separately on Amazon. I've had to buy other heat pro sprays from Amazon, and ttw comes out on top for scent. I dont want a scent in the protection spray, just protection, but some of them have a horrible scent, so stick with ttw's Beard Armor. The kit also comes with some beard soap which I never used, so I can't review that, but the beard balm that comes with the kit is my favorite I've ever used, and that is NOT sold separately. Beard balm is a weird product. You can buy 10 different ones, and they will all have have a different consistency. Ttw, for example, is like vasoline, while another is like candle wax. They really run the spectrum. A hard travel case is also provided. No one else does that. This was my first heated brush, and I think of you are a first time heated beard brush buyer, or you are experienced looking for a replacement, I believe this is a great choice.

Very easy to use beard straightener
This is a very easy to use beard straightener! Super straight forward on how to operate. It comes with a great two sided wooden comb for the beard (slightly small, but it gets the job done) as well as a deliciously citrusy smelling bar of beard wash soap. Seriously, this bar of beard wash smells like you just squeezed a fresh orange into your hands. Very relaxing and refreshing smell to say the least. Now onto the actual product, the beard straightener. Before I bought this, I was using my wife’s hair straightener/ blow dryer. It was great, but it was also very loud. I would wake my wife up every morning using it. With that being said, I scoured the internet to find a product that was similar and ended up coming across this guy. I watched several YouTube videos on this beard straightener before I pulled the trigger, so that I could decide if this product ACTUALLY did what it said it could do. To my surprise, it works very well. Not only that, the ends of the bristles are smooth, so the brush is able to glide across my skin without irritating it. The actual brush does not get hot, so you don’t have to worry about burning yourself while using it. When it’s on, you don’t even know it’s on other then seeing the numbers that indicate the temperature of the straightener! My sweet spot that I’ve found is 410 degrees. I’m able to brush my beard slowly without having it burn any hairs, etc. I definitely recommend this beard straightener if you are looking for one.

Makes a huge improvement
Gets hot fast and is even able to tame my beard which is thick and wild so yeah it’s a great product and the the orange scent is wonderful and lasts quite a while

Yes, it really does work! Highly recommended!! Don't go over 340 degrees!
UPDATE 2: Bought a second one because after 2 1/2 years, some of the tips of the bristles on my first one have slowly been breaking off. I’m very careful with it so I don’t really know how it happened but I use it daily and maybe then constant use caused the tips to eventually crack and fall off (see pic). That all being said, it still works. But I was worried that without the protective tips that I could possibly doing damage to the beard. So I kept that one as a back up and bought a new one. I still highly recommend it and still highly recommend that you don’t go over 340°. UPDATE: Now that I have been using this for 2 years, at 450 degrees, I have come back to say DON'T DO 450! You will eventually have beard breakage. I did. Mine happened in the very front, creating a divot in the area below my chin. Just too high of heat. After looking up recommended temps for straightening your beard, 350 was the recommended max. Oops! Wish I would have looked that up in the beginning. Since TTW brush only goes in increments of 20, I started setting mine to 340 degrees, and that still straightens it just fine. I still blow dry it first, and that gets it pretty straight. But TTW brush gets it even straighter. And the beard seems to be filling back in now that I dropped the temperature. I still highly recommend this brush. Just keep it at 340 degrees. Also in reading my initial review below, I no longer brush underneath/out because I found it created a weird swoop in my beard that I didn't care for. I will however, pull the front half up while brushing the back half downward, then brush out the front until straight. That leaves it nice and full under the chin back to the neck. INITIAL REVIEW: “Your beard is getting long!” is what a couple people have told me recently. Thing is, they’ve seen me fairly recent prior to saying that. And I know it’s not grown THAT much more. So what I attribute it to is having a straight beard. I’m getting the true length of my beard from this brush! I have seen many beard straightener brush ads on Facebook and Instagram, and finally a friend of mine with an equally glorious beard tried one (Not Tame the wild) and disappointingly said “it’s just a gimmick”. So I continued with just blow drying my beard straight, which was never perfect. It would still have waves in it. Ugh. Then another friend of mine told me about his “Tame the wild“ brush and how it really works for his VERY kinky and curly beard. So I decided to give this one a try. Right out of the box I was initially impressed by the quality of this brush. It’s got some weight to it and it is very solid. I was expecting a light plastic cheap feel. But that was not the case with this one. High quality stuff here! The instructions say to click the power button twice to get it to turn on. That never worked for me. Instead, HOLD the power button, and within 2 seconds it’s on. Raise the temperature to 450°, go get dressed and it’ll be ready when you return. For best results I would really recommend blow drying your beard dry, first. The brush works best on a dry beard. I do a 2-3 second brush through each section of my beard. So you don’t want to brush too slow but you also don’t want to brush too fast either. Besides brushing the normal way, you’ll also want to brush underneath your beard. I typically do 2 passes underneath and about 3-4 in the front. Once straightened, I will add beard oil, applying underneath the beard to the skin, comb it back out with my wooden beard comb and I’m good to go! My beard has never been softer, either! Again, I’m very happy with this brush. If you are annoyed by your wavy or curly beard and have been desiring a straight beard, look no further and get this brush!! See my pics for proof!

What a great brush!
NEVER, do I EVER, leave reviews. Add to it the fact that I'm uploading two personal photos to back-up my review and you have yourself reading the review of a truly honest happy customer here. This thing absolutely rocks! It performs far better than I had anticipated. As you can see from my photos, my beard is cave-man status length, thick as an osprey nest, and naturally pretty curly. Up to this point, I've never been able to achieve what I deem to be even a somewhat "straight" hair look. Thanks to this though, that barrier has been broken. Truly delivers on the name, Tame The Wild! The Brush heat's up very quickly, is easy to use but not easy to 'accidentally' adjust (lock setting is superb), has a wide variety of temp settings which you should definitely follow their directions and work your way from the lowest setting, up to a heat level safe for your hair type. It has a very handy adjustable swivel for the cord so switching sides, going under/over the beard etc. is easy with no interference. The heat plate is very even across the whole brush and there are no "hotspots". You can press it right up to your skin with no danger of being burned. The tines are very comfortable and dont pull or tear at your hair. It's a good looking mans brush, with a matte black finish, red logo and a solid feel to it. It brushes through my tangled morning mess of a beard with relative ease in just minutes with no help from any other brushes, combs or products. This has definitely become part of my everyday morning routine given how easy it is to use! If you're serious about your beard, stop reading reviews for hours like I did before I bought this, and just buy it. The only problem you're going to have is keeping your lady's hands off it once she realizes how easy it is to use, which will be obvious from how good your beard will look!

DONT READ THIS!!!
Seriously, don’t read this! Go buy this thing right now, then come back and read. This is legit the best thing I have ever done for my beard. I have really thick, coarse, curly (like pub hair curly) scruffy beard hair. It’s awful. My goatee is kinda straight and there’s like this invisible line where the rest of my hair just curls forever. Ive never grown it this long before in my life because I hate the way it looks. But I figured I’d give this a try and boy howdy was it worth it. My hair, for the first time ever, is decently straight. It’s much softer, hell it’s downright fluffy. And most importantly it’s EVEN looking. No more super awkward uneven spots of different lengths due to the curl. It feels amazing. It looks even more amazing. These pictures are the very first time I used it. 15 mins after I got home and grabbed the package off the porch. All I did was turn it on and use it, that’s it. And these are the results?? I’m estatic. I never ever thought my hair would ever do anything remotely useful. And this tool did it with ease. So order this and order it now, you won’t regret it!! And this is the only review I have ever written on amazon, if that tells you how happy I am with it!! BUY IT!

Kit is BETTER than advertised
Bought the 6-piece kit. Lord... this is awesome. If you're on the fence about buying this, go ahead. This is the one you want. - the travel case is sturdy and very nice. Everything fits. - the soap is fantastic. Great smell. - the wooden comb is a nice addition - the beard balm is great! Not greasy and smells great - the anti-burn spray is fantastic, and also smells great - the iron: best part. Heats up fast, cools down fast. Bristles are built in a way that the hot parts don't ever touch your skin. Easy to use. My beard game has leveled up. I highly recommend this. All 6 parts are worth the combo.

Just what is was looking for
Heats up fast, good quality build. It doesn't really straighten a shorter beard perfectly straight but it does a really good job at taming a wild beard. If you have a longer beard and can pull it straight while heating with the brush it will come out really straight. The case and accessories is a nice touch. The balm that comes with it is just ok when it comes to scent.

Excellent product!!!
Took a while to get to me but it was worth it. The broad brush style is an excellent design it was quick and easy to pass through my beard. Instructions are pretty straightforward heating was fast. I had a cordless beard straightener prior to this one and the battery eventually died on me. Much happier with this one.

It’s works but…
It works his is should but you have to brush very slowly so not very good if your in a rush, I do t find the comb any better then what I’m already using to it doesn’t get used, not a fan of the wax/balm I’ve had better results from butters and oils The best part of the whole kit is the soap I just wish it was a bigger bar or the kit came with extra bars, that soap is amazing

Best beard tamer for your buck
This is the bead master kit!!!! Starts in the shower with the beard soap just a little rub with the bar of soap and it foams up into an invigorating cream with gentle granules and the foam is creamy like a shaving cream. Then the unit itself has a few heat settings and good insulation as its not hot on the back. Once your wild is in order apply the provided beard wax for staying power. Great kit would recommend and I would order another heat shield spray and beard wax

Makes your beard look less homeless looking
So far so good. I like the soap. I don't use it that often, but i like to use it before I trim cuz it really makes all the stray hairs visible. Don't use it on a wet beard. And don't hold it on the hairs too long or they will burn. I have some waves in my beard and it makes those waves more manageable.

Great!
For the price I paid (around $20), it’s a steal! Amazing product!
