BEST TRULY POCKETABLE TORCH/SOLDERING IRON AVAILABLE and great customer service
I'm thrilled with this well designed little kit. They're close to perfecting the EDC/pocket carry soldering/multipurpose tool. I've bought many looking for a reliable, adjustable torch for soldering and other uses that is actually comfortable to keep in my pocket and this is the best I've found. This is a tiny little torch with extraordinarily precise adjustability, a thoughtful cap that attaches to both ends so you don't lose track of it, with a perfect tiny but effective foldout stand and helpful selection of tips that all even fit into a handy little case so you don't scatter the peices and lose them. These guys have managed to get just about everything right on this and I'm glad to have found it. My only word of caution is to note that this is intentionally a small torch with, necessarily, a low flame output so if you want or require something with a high output then this one isn't for you. In that case I highly recommend either of the two Dremel offerings sold on Amazon along with RAV's primary torches as they both offer excellent products, superb customer service and seriously reliable products backed by real guarantees and no hassle replacements. This offering doesn't have their level of quality or backing to last years and still get replaced if it fails but this is the only quality offering small enough to keep in your pocket. One little improvement could be a little chain & clasp connecting the cap and maybe a hole in the catalytic tip or soldier tips so you'd never lose the cap which allows for safely putting it in your pocket immediately after use and spark and you could also have the hot air/soldier/torch options together and 8n your pocket. Lastly, I had an issue at one point with adjusting the flame after overfilling and they responded my message with actual thoughtful detailed instructions specific to the problem I described and which allowed me to quickly correct the problem. 20 years ago that might be what we would expect but it was a very nice surprise and impressed me.

Better than electric
Not bad. The first soldering iron I bought was garbage. It was electric so I avoided the electric ones this time and I’m glad I did this one is so much better. Heads up in no time flat. Only downside is it drinks butane but I don’t use it enough for rust to hurt too much.

Solid product
This soldering iron is pretty great. I’ve been using a soldering iron with a cord and it is very nice to now use one powered by butane. I love how it comes with multiple heads to swap out for different uses. I’m able to solder something, switch the head and then heat shrink rubber around what I just soldered. There is also a head for a torch, which I use more than probably any other feature surprisingly. There is a little stand that you can pop out which is very helpful for when the device is heating up. The design of it is pretty sleek. It’s able to fit in my shirt pocket and not be a problem. I would like to see in a future design where there is a magnet on it. I’ve found that very helpful for when I’m under a car or something like that. Using it overtime has caused the device to flicker when using and sometimes the flame goes out. Other than that, it is a great product.

Extremely disappointed
This is the second SolderPro50 that I have purchased in the last 5 months. After having the first one 3 months, it stopped working. I replaced it on March 17th. On April 20th the second one stopped working altogether. These were once the best in the market, I don’t know what went wrong. I am very disappointed. I have written numerous requests to Iroda to honor their lifetime warranty on this product, they have never written me back or contacted me.

Must Have
This is the best soldering iron I've ever owned and have no regrets purchasing it. I love it. I didn't know if it would perform like a larger unit, but with butane, fire is fire, big things do come in small packages more often than you may think. I would definately recommend buying this soldering iron. Bonus with the butane is that you don't have to screw around with cords and finding power, its all there in your hand. The ignightor (or spark) to fire this thing up is integrated with the cap, so try not to lose that, if you do, carry a lighter. That would be the number one suggestion I would have to the company when updating this model is to integrade an ignition switch into the handle. Other than that, it comes in a good case with alternate tips etc. It is just a well put together quality package I give it a 9.5/10.

Perfect kit for portable cord free soldering and torching.
I owned one of these for 10+ years before the soldering tip wore out and became too blunt to use anymore. I looked into buying a replacement tip but for just a bit more money you can buy this whole kit. The unit is small and fits nicely in your hand. Gives you lots of control when using it. Heats up very quickly. Much faster than an electric soldering iron. I especially like the attachment for heat shrinking. They call it a hot air blower tip. Because it doesn’t have a flame you don’t have to worry much at all about burning heat shrink tubing. The butane reservoir is quite large and lasts a long time between refills, even when using at max power. I recommend getting a soldering tip cleaner and tinning powder to maintain it. Otherwise it will corrode and break down like my first tip did. Overall highly recommend this torch after over 10 years of experience with it!

Not as good as the Radio Shack Original.
Not as good as the Radio Shack Original. I have one from Radio Shack that I bought more than 10 years ago. It was a solid performer but I finally wore out the tip until there was nothing left. I wanted to replace it with this one but the valve just isn't right. Adjustability is a bit difficult. I then took the tip and put it on my old one. I confirmed that it was much easier to work with on my older tool. I don't bother with the other tips much so I'll probably dedicate the new one to the hot blower exclusively for heat shrink and such. Next time I'll probably just buy a new tip.

منتج لا بأس به
منتج طيب ولكن لا يقاوم الإستخدام على المدى البعيد ، ويلزم تعبئته بالغاز بإستمرار لأن الغاز ينفذ سريعا

Top quality gas soldering iron
A brilliant gas soldering iron, take it anywhere, no wires to limit your movement. Heats up very fast so you aren't wasting gas. Highly recomended.

For the money great
It seems a very handy little soldering gun for the money, my only criticism would be the case is flimsy, but I have a 3d printer measured up and made my own
