GreenPan Rio 10" Frying Pan Skillet, PFAS-Free Ceramic Nonstick, Turquoise

I recently added the GreenPan Rio Healthy Ceramic Nonstick 10" Frying Pan Skillet to my kitchen arsenal, and it has exceeded all my expectations!Nonstick Performance: The ceramic nonstick coating is truly impressive. I was amazed at how effortlessly my food slid right off the surface, whether I was cooking eggs, pancakes, or sautéing vegetables. No more worrying about food sticking or tearing apart during cooking!Healthier Cooking: I love that this skillet is free from toxic chemicals like PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I’m using a healthier option for my cooking. The ceramic material heats evenly, ensuring consistent cooking results every time.Durability and Construction: The pan feels solid and well-constructed, with a sturdy aluminum base that promotes even heat distribution. I’ve used it daily for several weeks, and it shows no signs of wear or scratches.Easy to Clean: Cleanup is a breeze! The nonstick surface makes washing up quick and easy. I often just wipe it down with a damp cloth, and it's good as new. It’s also dishwasher safe, which adds to its convenience.Ergonomic Design: The handle is comfortable to grip and stays cool during cooking, which is a significant safety feature. LOOOOVE this pan! I use it every day. Nothing sticks to it. Perfect for eggs! Looks nice in my kitchen, too. Couldn't live without it.

This is the best frying pan I’ve found in years! It’s perfect! It comes with very clear instructions on how to keep it from getting damaged. Easy to clean and fits 3-4 hamburgers if that helps.

The good: Fantastic non-stick pan for the price. Not having to work around rivets/fasteners inside the pan is such a nice little luxuryThe bad: No matter how careful you are, using only high smoke point oils, no sprays, and silicon utensils, hand washing, etc. This pan will last, at most, two years before becoming non-non-stick if you use it daily. It's just the nature of the beastThe ugly: When your pan arrives, check it carefully for imperfections in the surface. Use it daily for a week, and note any indication of gaps in the non-stick coating. If you notice anything off, exchange it for a new plan. I'm on my third pan in three years, but this one has imperfections that I missed upon arrival, and three months in it's already lost its non-stick coating. QC is letting sub-par products slip out the door

I can't imagine why this pan gets such positive reviews. The first time I used it, it worked fine. Pancakes came out easily and pan wiped clean with a soft scrubbing pad. Great! Enthusiastic, I decided to cook some falafel patties.I had carefully read Greenpan's instructions to use a little oil with a high smoke point. I used avocado. Then I let the pan sit on medium heat for about five minutes while I formed my patties. To my great dismay, the pan had developed black speckles (see picture 1).No problem, I thought, I'll just wipe it out with a paper towel. Well that wasn't happening. So I put a little dish soap in the pan and scrubbed it with my "non-stick" scrubby. I scrubbed for ten minutes. No improvement. So I followed Greenpan's instructions to fill the pan half way with water and a squirt of dish soap and put it on the stove to boil on low heat. After the water came up to boiling, I turned off the heat and left the pan to cool. Then I tried scrubbing again. With much effort, I finally got the speckles out of the pan.Thinking this must have been my fault for pre-heating too long, I returned to cooking the falafel patties. Again, I used a little avocado oil and medium heat. As you can see from the second picture, the pan began to form a yellow coating as the patties cooked. The last picture shows the pan after scrubbing again.To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I had planned on reducing my oil use to cut some calories. But my cast iron pans have never required this level of effort to clean, and I have found that I can minimize my oil use in the cast iron by spritzing the pan with a mist after adding a half teaspoon of oil.Unfortunately, to add insult to injury, I invested in $40 of non-stick utensils. The pan is going back of course, together with the utensils I didn't open. If you're still inspired to buy the pan after reading this review, at least do yourself a favor and wait before buying any special utensils.

Awesome “green” pan. I bought sets for my kids too and also got them soft utensils to protect the pans from being scratched. Food slides right out of these. If you like to make awesome omelets this is the pan for you.

I love this pan. Cleaning it is a breeze! It cooks evenly and is scratch resistant..

Bought the small pan and since it worked so well, I bought the bigger pan. It’s truly amazing, nothing sticks. I did potatoes, pancakes, eggs. Everything slid out. And, cleaning is a breeze.

Fijne pan om in te bakken. Niets koektrommel aan en hij is heel makkelijk schoon te maken.

Die Pfanne ist perfekt. Besser als jede Teflonpfanne. Bis jetzt noch nichts angebrannt. Die Pfanne lässt sich leicht reinigen. Mit Küchenpapier auswischen und ab in die Spülmaschine.

There should be a warranty on this. Since I bought it, it has never been non-stick. It’s a total nightmare to cook in and clean. I’m throwing it away. I will never buy green pan again.
