Arrived quickly and are fresh. Pods are mainly whole, not broken and flavor is perfect black cardamom. I use these with a mixture of other whole spices when I make soda syrups, simmer in the syrup and strain. Delicious.

Came exactly as described. The pods are large and have a great aroma. I've used a couple of them for cooking already and they impart a wonderful flavor to the food. I would definitely reorder from Burma Spice in the future.

This black cardamon is very strong and has a unique flavor. I've made some chai tea with it but it's best if only a small amount of green cardamon is substituted for black as it is very strong and can over power the other spices. Looking forward to making some dal lentils with it and some dried curry leaves I got on amazon too.

When I open the package all I said is "wow!". You will know it's a very good fresh spice as soon as you opened the package because of it's strong sweet spice smell. Do not let the smell dissuade you from using this product. Once you open the shell with your fingers, you can roast and grind the seeds inside. I made masala using this and it was very good. Stronger taste than green cardamon but you can use both together like I did for a less subtle but still good flavor.

product came quickly, was well-packaged and as promised. Used it in beef pho this weekend and it definitely added to the heartiness of the soup flavor vs. the last batch I made without it. Will buy again - would recommend. Plus, it came with a discount code for my next order!

I have not had any dry spices mold before. These grew mold while stored in this jar. I don't know if that is normal. It was my first time buying this. I don't know if it should have been refrigerated. It was in my cabinet.
