Updated review
Picked this up Dec 2020 fully loaded with 2tb of NVME storage, 32 Gigs of ram and the 2060 graphics card. Love the performance when plugged in. Battery doesn't last when gaming very long. The out of the box drivers for a few things had updated that needed to be applied. Ran into all kinds of audio issues during this process. Spent awhile researching, trying downloads from vendor directly vs the asus site, windows troubleshooter, reddit, etc... found a file explaining that the audio drivers needed to be applied via a powershell admin console file... tried that. Ran through the windows set up your mic again as a mic installed in another device. Now the mic works great so far. Really disappointed that the drivers are not less complex to update on a very expensive device. Reminded me very old PC voodoo.

Great for portable gaming
I have always had a gaming pc with the newest hardware, but recently I became a father and wanted something portable to game on. So far every game I have played has been at maxed settings, at the screens max resolution of 1080p and the frame rates have been 60+ solid. So far I have played Diablo 3, Torchlight 3, Outer Worlds, Rage 2, RTX minecraft, Astroneer, Metro Last Light, Neon Abyss, No mans sky, and a bunch of other games on game pass. If you don't mind 1080p its great. RTX minecraft seemed to be the only game where the frame rates dropped to the 30-40 range with RTX and max settings. It does get hot so I had to get a fan cooler to help blow in some cooler air in from underneath. The fan noise is pretty loud while gaming so headphones help with that. Also the speakers must be at the bottom of the laptop and they do not get very loud at all. The touch pad seems glitchy at times while scrolling so I end up using a mouse. The power brick gets pretty hot and its pretty far up the cord so it gets in the way when trying to game in the living room and moving it from the coffee table to the couch.

surprisely pleased, better than the original selection
I had done my research, selected what I needed and then that website crashed preventing the ability to order it. I wanted one that day and came across this product. A great bang for the buck so far. Took a while to get here (beyond the timeframe originally advertised), but am still pleased I bought it. If they have another sale, may buy another. UPDATE: The screen locks up after sitting for a while, no key tap or touch pad tap will unlock it. The touchpad also rarely works, no amount of settings adjustment will allow you to scroll up or down or utilize it. Grrr.

GODLIKE PERFORMANCE
the packaging was like nothing ive ever seen before and omg the keyboard. when i first saw it i had no words to describe how i fell but using it was another story. this laptop crunched through anything i threw at it and i was beyond amazed. one thing i should note is that under heavy loads i gets a bit loud but it doesn't bother me.

Exactly what we wanted
Bought these for the DisplayPort capability, both for a new office/desk set up and to use with the Oculus Rift S. Works like a champ. Very happy.

Muy buen rendimiento
Muy buena máquina, lo probé con el juego Cyberpunk 2077 a 3/4 de su capacidad máxima gráfica y tengo excelentes resultados.

ASUS - Never Again!
Hard drive failure after only 6 months... Sent to ASUS for warranty 1 month ago. They received it 16 days ago and I have called several times after seeing that their online status check showed no change in status (Appears to not made it past receiving). I have called their Support several times and each time no one can tell me what is going on with my laptop, if anyone has looked at it, or provide ANY kind of idea when it will be ready. Ratings looked great on Amazon, yet I am guessing that must be from folks who never had a Support issue.... From what I am reading elsewhere, ASUS is know for terrible Support. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for a quality product from somewhere else. At this point,

Dead at 1 year and 1 month
Really disappointed. Laptop has worked pretty well for a year and a month. No longer even boots to bios. Power button does nothing. Cannot figure it out. Likely a catastrophic hardware failure. Also, I tried to buy the Asus Extended warranty with in six months of original purchase due to an issue with the usb-c port. Turns out this laptop was bought at Best Buy, upgraded with cheap 'Adata' ram and ssd (BOTH CRAP), then resold on Amazon. Asus will not do any warranty work for laptops bought at Best Buy as BB does their own warranty work. Be aware of Asus extended warranty restrictions. I would not recommend this at all. Battery still charges though...That is something.

a good machine for multitasking - BAD for multimedia
Pros:- good for windows PRO multitasking, software development on windows, .NET, etc.- delivery conditions were perfect.Cons:- not for multimedia, streaming or anything with an external audio interface, zoom h6, ntg4+. You will have a thousand problems. Not able to send realtwitch.tv or any streaming application.- if you have BOSE QC35 you will not be able to use Skype, Slack or Discord or Zoom correctly. You are advised. It's a 2500 $cad machine that doesn't allow you to use your high end audio hardware, and you will end up buying headsets with an external sound card included so they can work in video conference.- came with windows home, I had to buy windows PRO myself, it was activated immediately without any installation.- web camera is horrible, you will have to buy a C922. MacBook pro webcam is 100x better even at 720p.- doesn't have thunderbolt 3, if that matters to you.Do your research:- how to connect 2 external monitors?- programs like adobe premiere are going to render faster on these 8 cores?Great machine for the office.

Too good to be true, crashed after 3 months.
Bought this machine September 2020 and crashed in December! Sent the laptop to Asus Canada for repairs and was told the laptop didn’t have standard Asus parts and therefore could not be fixed. Sent the laptop back to New Tech store and received a full refund. Massive waste of time and inconvenient, computer specs were too good to be true.
