Norpro 10-Inch Bamboo Spoon

Wonderful wooden spoons. The only change I would make is to get a longer wooden spoon.

Love that the spoons are bamboo... arrived nicely packaged, perfect size.. needed to update my wooden spoons and these fit the bill.

Any Simpsons fan will recognize that famous line from the insanity chili pepper episode of the Simpsons. Oddly fitting here as the spoon actually measures 14.5" inches.Todd: "Daddy, are you going to jail?"Flanders: "We'll see, son. We'll see." (Same episode.)I wash it with soap and water before using it for the first time this past weekend for tomato sauce. It is very repellent and stays very clean. So far it holds up well to repeated taps against the pot to remove the sauce. Less sticking means less on the spoon when you lay it down. Plus it cannot scratch your pots. Stainless steel is great but Bamboo is so much stronger than other cheap wooden kitchen wares. Wood is safer on non-stick surfaces, and better than plastic.The sticker says it is made in China, but even they could not get lead imbedded into a bamboo spoon. Could they?

I'm very happy with this spoon. It's very sturdy and it didn't stain when I used it to make pasta sauce, like many other wooden spoons do. :)

I loved it at first, easy to hold and clean but I now see it has a split in the wood. I’ve never put it in the dishwasher to avoid any damage from high heat but it’s broken after all.

I needed a longer spoon to stir pasta in my new, large pot. This is long enough that I don't singe my hand in the process.
