Amazingly, it seems to work! It's been 30 days since AFM installed.
Spent more. But I went with reliability and quality. I didn't feel like buying a new one every couple years. The Range AFM is plugged in. Range is sold by Holley (carb). I trust that. And seems to work as it should. It's been a month since installed. My 2017 Silverado stays in V8 mode, seems to shift less and I don't remove it "ever". Some people claim a power draw if you don't remove it daily if you don't drive vehicle for a few days. But research said the draw was so slight it would take years to drain a battery. . Also, my gas mileage stayed about the same. On a recent short trip 60mi each way, 21-23mpg with a 5.3L engine at 60mph. Depends if the wind is at your back or not. So far so good. Would buy again. I love my truck!

Works as advertised, no regrets on this purchase.
This has been working as advertised since I installed it on my 2017 5.3L Silverado in October of 2025. No more dropping to 4 cylinders. AFM is gone. This is not my everyday driver, but I leave it plugged in all the time. No issue with battery drain. I drive this maybe 2 times per month. No adverse side effects, no surprises. I purchased another one for my 6.2L in my Camaro 2SS. Very impressed , no regrets, cheaper than a hard AFM delete or expensive repairs because my engine is stuck in 4 cylinder mode. GM really screwed up on this feature. Thank you Range Technology!

Does what it says.
I almost never write reviews but this thing legit works. It never goes back into V4 mode. It stays in V8 and my car is a 2SS 1LE. 2022. So it pops even more cause it’s pure V8. Literally goes on for like 6 seconds straight after flooring it. It’s crazy how a simple plug in can change so much. That’s another thing, it was very very easy to install. You just plug it in. That’s it. No setting, no nothing to adjust

Works as advertised. Disables the AFM as soon as it’s plugged in. It’s very small and the light really isn’t noticeable unless you are looking for it. Very easy to install. Just plug into OBD port, and it’s working. I drive a 2017 Silverado, and the part seems to work great so far. No hard shifting noticed. The price of the product seems to be worth it when the other scenario involves changing out failed lifters in the engine. My truck just hit 90,000 miles, and I change the oil every 5000. So far no issues with lifters. 10,000 mile update. Truck just hit 100,000 miles. Still no issue with the device. I leave it plugged in while at work on a 14 and 14 rotation so my truck sits for two weeks without cranking. Haven’t had any issues with drained battery. One small thing I have noticed is that the truck shifts slightly harder when going from 3rd gear to 4th gear. It’s very faint but noticeable, and I didn’t have that issue when the device wasn’t installed. It’s not bad enough for me to worry about the transmission. Just something I noticed.

Range Technology AFM / 5.3L Tahoe with the heavy-duty towing package
Purchased this Range Technology AFM disabler for a Tahoe with 5.3L V8. My Tahoe would drop into the 4 Cylinder mode often, very annoying. I have never gotten used to the hesitation when the engine shifts back into the V8 mode in response to my attempt to accelerate, especially from a dead stop. When driving in normal traffic situations the 5.3L FMS constantly put the engine in and out of V8 to V4 and back distracting from the driving experience. Freeway driving was another area where the 5.3L FMS would drop the engine into V4 when my foot came off the pedal or while coasting which is especially annoying while towing a 6500 lbs. RV or when attempting to pass another vehicle. Installing the Range Technology Disabler has solved these problems and I have noticed the vehicle drives much smother. Yes, it cost more than the knockoffs, but I believe it's worth it. My first AFM disabler was a top-rated knockoff brand, cheaper for sure, but I found it didn't work as I thought it should have, it kept the Tahoe's 5.3L in V8 mode but something was missing, it wasn't smooth running like I experience with Range Technology FMS disabler also there was no way to see the lights on the disabler as they were partially covered with the wrap. Remember the old saying "You Only Get What You Pay For" applies here. I am pleasantly surprised with the build quality, ease of installation and the function of the Range Technology device. Only thing I don't like, nothing in the instructions give you a clear understanding of what ALL the light functions indicates but you can go to Range Technology's web site. Also, I have had no issues with the truck's battery SOC and I have seen a slight increase in fuel economy. I do recommend this device.

Range RA003B, excellent product
I am in Australia. Ordered through Amazon. I read as many reviews I could find. Used in the Chev 1500 Silverado for a week or so and found it to be as advertised. Can't fault it at this time.

Que funcione, o al menos saber que funciona o tiene algún beneficio
Menciona que evitará que el motor del vehículo se pare en los altos, pero continúa apagándose, no sé si la verdad funciona o no, no veo ningún cambio en el ruido del motor, o no sirve, o está defectuoso o no es compatible, lo usaré un tiempo y si no veo ningún beneficio lo regresaré
