Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Stomach and Stomach Large Breed Dog Food, Salmon Formula - 35 lb. Bag

Our dog needs a special diet, free of chicken and grain. This is perfect with a salmon and rice formula she can stomach. She has a great coat due to the fish oil, and doesn't scratch like with other brands. The smell isn't too strong and fishy like with some brands, and doesn't smell rancid like with others. She loves the stuff. Purina pro plan also has other sensitive stomach formulas with lamb, but those dont seem to sit as well. The only difference from this and their other sensitive stomach salmon and rice is the kibble bit size; these are larger for larger breeds so they can't just down a mouthful without chewing. This is also helpful in slowing our dog, who eats quite fast. She loves the flavor!

I have a Saint Bernard with sensitive skin and she loves this food. Her coat is shinier since she started eating it and this has never caused her any problems.We originally tried the regular Sensitive Skin and Stomach food (the one with the Irish Setter on the bag), but my dog didn't like it at all. She is all about the Large Breed formula, though.

We started purchasing this for our English Mastiff a few years ago when he had digestive issues. I remember bags of this food cost us $60. I thought that was expensive. However, now bags are $98??? Thankfully, our dog has outgrown his issues and we have had to move on to a different dog food - ONLY because of the price. There are other dog brands equivalent to this one at a much better price. PRICE is the ONLY reason we quit purchasing this.

We tried everything with one of our Shepherds . Raw , honest kitchen , every brand . We adopted another and he was eating Purina Pro and was fine . We tried it with the fussy Shepherd - he loves it and no stomach issues . Been using it now for 5 years (salmon ) . Also , got a husky pup . Now a year old . She has only been on this . We do supplement with Purina’s Beyond canned salmon and occasional dried salmon and liver as treats .

Overall my dog is not a huge fan of it , but has allergies and has to be on it for his Health reasons . I have add stuff to it to get him to eat it still after about a year on it. But it does help some for his allergies

My dog(100 lb Rottie) has little to no health issues and randomly started itching SUPER badly. No known food allergies or anything. The vet recommended I switch him to this food and I’m not sure why it worked but it did. Switched him over a year ago and never looked back.The one downside is the amount of fish oils in this food makes my dog smell like a giant fish so you’ve got to stay up on the grooming and the baths or your house will smell like an aquarium.

I bought this for my large breed dog bestie. For some reason, this large breed dog food has been difficult to find in stores where I live so I ordered from Amazon. As always, the delivery was fast and done professionally. My doggie likes it a lot.
