Yes most defiantly, the hammer can half cock, or full cock you can rotate the cylinder, and the trigger is very strong and the gun is very very well built, wood grips and full metal body on the gun. This is a very fine piece.

What is it made out of?

It's metal looks good at a distance but not up close. I am putting mine in a glass case and mount it on the wall.
