Sorbothane Premium Vibration Isolation Washer (2" OD x 0.5" ID x 0.5" Thick, 50 Durometer (Medium))

I have an expensive high power telescope and wanted these under the tripod legs to dampen the vibrations. I was unsure the "50 duro" in the . 5" thickness would be enough to support the weight (maybe 50#s) without giggling, but it works superbly.I attached these to "furniture glides" mostly to give a firmer top so the pointy tripod legs wouldn't just sink in with these sorbothane washers toward the ground. I have tried all sorts of combinations over the years including items made specifically for telescopes. These are functionally far far superior.

Although on the expensive side, sorbetane is hard to beat

When I ordered, the description details stated 50. I thought that seems kinda cheap. There are only 4 in the package. Not worth it. They are not gold lined!!

They work well IF you get the correct ones for your application. The biggest problem is the lack of a chart to follow concerning the range of weight each unit will support. Washer type units and discs of equal diameter and equal ratings (30, 50, 70) don’t support the same weights. If you find a rating for weight capacity, it will only apply to the specific unit you are viewing. Go to a different diameter or design and those numbers do apply anymore. These should all be required to have a chart so you can pick easier.
