Yes, it's definitely worth the $20 for the comfort grip handles. I have Knipex with both handles and am only getting comfort grip from now on! :)

Does the comfort grip hold onto grit making it more difficult to clean?

Rocketman:I have not noticed the grip collecting grit or dirt. The Knipex comfort grip material is fairly rigid (not spongy) - So the "comfort" factor is in the shape rather than being cushioned. I don't think this is going to get very dirty.Cheers!
