Jock brief
Go ahead, play ball! I hate jock straps, and never understood their purpose.,a cup? Stuff it in briefs. I always preferred a snug fitting brief as I don't like my "guy" flopping free down there. If you a brief wearing gent, this is for you, can be sexy, and has purpose. Comfort zone is as good as any designer brief. With that jock pouch front allowing circulation of air for breathing room as well as needed support. Soft on your tushy for that rowing machine, or other "sit" exercises. I was concerned I wouldn't like the broad waist band, but that was fine. And once my work-out wear was fine, I didn't know I had anything on at all.It is soft right out of package though I believe clothing mfr, and consumer advocates recommending washing in warm soapy water prior to first wear, guess to remove any factory contaminants and or fabric "dust" of new material.Asst colors for style, if concerned about tell-tale sweat stains appearing in normal white ones- but hey, you can always sell your used ones as way of affording new. maybe someone even willing to trade new for old. Recycle-reuse, cut down on refuge.I didcsplirgecand buy one of each color. Don't get short of undergearvin your gym bag. Have a spare- perhaps to give a hand to someone who may have left that item out. Chances are, you bigger guys all wear the same size.Work hard, play hard-er.

fits entirely too low in the rise
Truth be told, we were actually looking forward to trying out the Safe-T-Gard Brand Adult Athletic/Sports Brief, which is currently being advertised as sort of a cross between a men's brief, with a full seat in the back, and a conventional jock strap up front. The back panel was 55% cotton / 45% poly, and the knit pouch and 2-5/8” deep waistband was 85% poly / 15% rubber. We thought perhaps that this would be the perfect union between a jock and a brief. Unfortunately, this was not so.Sold under the various names of “supporter brief” and “sport brief”, the Safe-T-Gard Brand we were already quite familiar with, having worn them for years both under their own brand name, as well as being sold under various proprietary names. What is known as their style number 366, with a side seam of six inches, we thought they would be perfect for our particular application, which is hauling heavy musical instruments around Tampa Bay. We were extremely disappointed.True, the waistband and knit pouch were exactly the same as in their conventional jock straps, only the rise was much shallower (smaller), barely covering the privates, lower than even the lowest of the so-called, sexy bikinis. If that weren't bad enough, the full seat had entirely too much cotton in the fabric content, which we knew from previous experience, wouldn't last very long. True, they were made in the USA, the price was $13.29 each, and from what we could gather, they were a very popular item in the Medium and Large sizes. Nevertheless, the exceedingly low rise was a deal-breaker. Nobody's faulting the idea, though.

Athletic Support Briefs
Excellent styling for guys who like to wear "Support type underwear"Similar styling to a jock strap except these have a full seat in them but other then that they give you the same full support that a normal jock strap does!!My main problem with this underwear is nothing actually to do with the product itself but the sheer & absolute lack of availability in trying to purchase this type of men's underwear!! You can't seem to buy them anywhere & in smaller sizes & I've even had to buy a larger size then I would normally prefer just to be able to acquire a pair of these!!! Colour choice is all but non existent as well let alone & as previously stated the size range!! (yeah right)

Sidings a bit funny
Ordered my normal size and they were quite loose on me. I’d recommend going a size down.

Support without the exposure.
I run and lift and I like to keep the package secure while I'm working out. I like that they offer full seat coverage. I usually wear a traditional jock strap, but found these recently. They keep your stuff secure and in place while you move and you get the extra comfort of a seat. Can't complain.

If only they were made properly
I've been looking for this style for quite some time and was pleased to find this, or so I thought. Previously these were made by Champion and by McDavid and by Bike. Alas no longer. I was VERY disappointed to find these were so badly made (in China). The elastic waist had barely enough elastic to hold these on. It wasn't the size was wrong. It was the shoddy manufacturing and lack of quality control by Safe-T-Guard. And, to make things completely unacceptable, the pouch was ridiculously small. I feel sorry for the fellows that this would fit.The reason I gave two stars was that the company was good about accepting the return (although I must pay postage). I wish there was some way to have the company correct the shoddy quality but suspect I'd be wasting my time. Darn!!

Bizarre fit
These fit super weird with a lot of fabric bunching up under the pouch. It’s like the pouch doesn’t taper down at the bottom and just extends a bunch of bulk into the back part of the brief. Feels like a full diaper. Threw them away.
