She loves this food and I love it knowing she is getting her vitamins, protein, veggies and fruits in her food so I don’t have to worry about it! If they must eat kibble feed them at least the good stuff! And no Chicken by product in this food! The smell is fine and she has no problem digesting this quality food! I expect to pay more for quality food! And for good reason. A big bag also! I’m very pleased with Gentle Giants dog Food, Very Pleased Indeed

We have two Newfoundlands. 1 on grain free the other a still growing 1 year old pup! I buy 2 diff ent types & both giants love them. Very high quality ingredients & great priceDogs doing well on it!

I normally love this dog food but I just ruined a whole bin of dog food (2 bags and little more of this dog food and it’s not cheap) pouring and mixing the dog food together. I got to end of bag and a bunch of molded pieces came out and one big chunk. I looked it up online and it said it can cause seizure, vomiting, diarrhea, and death. It either happened at plant where food got wet before being bagged or at Petco when being stored. Either way, I can’t find any expiration date stamped on it anywhere on the bag. It seems to be healthy but I’m not an expert but this is not acceptable.Update: the owners called me back personally from their home phone. They assured me they make the dog food fresh before sending it out. They did tell me where to find the date on the bag and it was the part my son cut off and threw away. It’s at the top corner where you normally cut to open, so make sure you look before cutting. I’m not sure how long Petco had the food or where they store it because I’ve yet to talk to anyone from there. I love this dog food and will continue to get it.

Pros: Good food. 5 month old, 55+ pound Bernoodle puppy loves taste & has grown leaps & bounds on this food. Purchased this food as pup needed a 100% poultry free food (contains NO chicken/poultry products - not even chicken fat). Con: As barley is 2nd ingredient, may contribute to softer stools in dogs with sensitive stomachs & GI tracts. Would be great if product came in a 30# bag like the chicken flavor, as the 24# bag only lasts 3 weeks.

Shipping was no problem. It’s very good quality kibble, if one must buy kibble. For what we get the price is the best of all the top foods. Speaking strictly of kibble though.

My poodle mix is 13 and a half years old, and still doing well. She had come from the pound all those years ago and I thank you for this mix of food that is keeping her happy and living long.

I purchased this for our pug puppy. He enjoys it but now Amazon isn’t carrying it. Frustrating when that transpires. Our puppy really loved it though. That’s what matters.
