Do not spend the money
This book is an insult to the intelligence of the reader. It is not well written, which makes it annoying to read. The writer is patronizing and condescending. She writes as if her readers are kindergarten children. Someone paid the writer to write a book on this subject, so she had to write something and this was the best she could do. If you are intelligent enough to have graduated from college, from law school, passed the Bar Exam, and had a rewarding career as an attorney, you do NOT need to read this book.

A Must for Anyone Contemplating Retirement
Marilyn Tucker's Success Tips For Lawyers Leaving Practice: Rewire, Refire - Do Not Retire is a must read for any attorney—and anyone else for that matter—who wonders what s/he should do to prepare for "life's second act."Tucker has now positioned herself as the go-to expert on retirement preparation and planning for the legal profession. Her breadth and depth of knowledge about this core topic derives from her extensive background counseling Georgetown law students and alums about every aspect of career planning. In addition, she has picked the brains of scores of individuals (attorneys as well as non-attorneys) who have made a successful transition from work to "retirement" (a misnomer given the energy and enthusiasm they bring to their second acts). Their stories comprise the centerpiece of this book. These mini-bios are "horizon-expanding," providing valuable insights into the immense spectrum of opportunities available to retirees and the applicability of their work experiences to their superannuation undertakings. While the book focuses on legal overachievers, its recommendations are suitable for anyone seeking a retirement plan of action. This book needs to be on everyone's shelf.
