**Q: I’m new to cosplay. when it comes to eva foam, why is high density good for cosplay?**
A: High density foam is good for Cosplay for multiple reasons:  
1. Cutting and Dremeling is more precise, where as with low density foam the edges/surfaces won't be as clean. 
2. Sanding the high density foam results in smoother edges.
3. Heat shaping is easier and the shape holds better. 

Many other EVA foams out there are advertised as "high density" when in fact they are a lower density at around 30 kg/m3 (2 lb/ft3).  The Foamory offers a true High Density EVA Foam at more then 85 kg/m3 (5.3 lb/ft3).

**Q: What type of paint should be used on this?**
A: The only type of paint you can use directly on the EVA foam without it dissolving it is acrylic.  If you want to use different you will need to prime it with a few coats of plastidip or similar prior to painting.  Go to Kamui Cosplay's YouTube channel and look for the video on priming EVA foam.

**Q: Would the 10mm be comfy as a seat pad over thin metal bars (dining chair) so we don’t feel the bars as much?**

This EVA foam is fantastic quality and definitely very High Density foam. It is a dream to work with, so easy to , cut, sand and shape with a heat gun and holds its shape the best I’ve seen, 85 kg absolutely makes a difference . “Ultra High Density” for sure! Perfect for crafting my cosplay armor. Was able to cut with minimal problems. Was able to heat form it without much problem. Very sturdy. Held up with wearing for hours and with sweat. Would buy again if making more.

I tried one of the cheaper EVA foams out there on Amazon, and they were flimsy, hard to mold with heat and very porous. I needed to coat them with at least 3 layers of primer and heating them wouldn't make them keep their shape. I decided to jump the gun and buy this high density foam, and I regret ever buying the cheaper foam! This is really all you need for cosplay and armor, it's so easy to work with! One side is very smooth while the other is a bit more porous, so it was easier to heat up the porous side and shape it, while the other side was great for painting! I still primed it, but only needed one layer and the paint went on it so smoothly. As you can see in my picture, I created an arm bracer and molding it was easy! It definitely kept its shape after heating it with a heat gun and it's sturdy, so I know it won't collapse on me while I'll be wearing it! This is definitely a no brainer if you want to save time and headaches and create amazing cosplays! This is my first time creating cosplay armor by the way, so this is definitely beginner friendly too.
