A great entry point for Gunpla!
Let's get this said, for those who just skim the reviews: Overall I really like this kit, I give it five stars for sure. I find almost nothing to complain about, and those few things are pretty minor... I'll address those first. The biggest complaint I have is that this kit does not come with blades for the Beam Sabers. The handles *do* have ports for them, though; you can easily fit excess blades from other kits, or do what I did and carve up a bit of the red plastic frame the parts were attached to.To my surprise, there were no stickers or decals in the kit. No loss to me personally, I never use those because I usually think they look ugly; but some might call it a negative. My only other complaint- again minor- is that a very few pieces were MUCH more firmly attached than the others, and in awkward positions where getting nippers in to cut the piece loose wasn't really possible. A sharp hobby knife did the job admirably, but it's something an adult might want to be on hand for if the kit is intended for a child.Beyond that, no issues. The kit is VERY well designed. It looks good straight from the box, but it also has a good amount of room for personal touches if you're into panel lining, painting, adding battle damage, etc. If you're into kit-bashing, this is a great base platform to start a project from; there's tons of nice, open surfaces for adding greeblies of your choice. The design is great in terms of how extensive the range of motion that's available for posing is, too. I've attached several photos displaying several poses, including a high side kick... All of those poses were not only quite stable, but were stable despite the box it's posed in being heavily slanted because it was sitting on a big, fluffy foot stool when I was taking the pictures, lol! Finally, this kit is a good place for those looking to graduate from the really simple kits, but who are a little intimidated by the complexity of the various RG and HG kits. It's a great kit for swimming into the Gunpla world a little deeper, without jumping right for the REALLY deep waters.

Perfect Starter Kit for Beginners and Kids
This was my first Gunpla build as I got into the hobby and introduced it to my kid.As the name “Entry Grade” suggests, it’s very beginner-friendly, no cutting, sanding, painting, or stickers required. The instructions are clear, and the material quality is excellent. It took me about 45 minutes to complete and was a lot of fun to build.A perfect starting point for anyone new to Gunpla!

Excellent entry point into the hobby
I decided to try out this hobby and wanted something cheap in case I didn’t like it. This model seems to be the entry point for many people. And for good reason. It takes about an hour to assemble. You don’t need any tools. The instructions are foolproof.Of course, you get what you pay for. You can’t really pose this figure without something falling off. But I mean if you want to see if you like Gunpla before dropping any large amounts of money this is a good starting point.

A Gunpla that you won’t regret buying
The Bandai Hobby Kit Entry Grade 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam is an excellent entry-level model kit that offers a high degree of playability. Despite lacking the intricate details found in HG (High Grade) or RG (Real Grade) series models, this kit makes up for it with its robust build and versatility. The model is designed to be sturdy, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses without the fear of breaking delicate parts. This makes it a perfect choice for both beginners and experienced builders who want a Gundam model that can withstand frequent handling and posing. In terms of articulation, the Entry Grade RX-78-2 Gundam excels. It can be positioned in various action stances, making it fun to experiment with different looks and scenarios. While it may not have the detailed panel lines and intricate mechanisms of higher-grade models, it remains a reliable and enjoyable kit that delivers great value for its price.Overall, if you're looking for a Gundam model that's easy to build, highly poseable, and durable enough for everyday play, this is a fantastic choice.
