I had an Ameda pump for my first two pregnancies (got the pump 7 years ago) and I loved everything about it except for the larger size of the motor part. I couldn't easily move around while pumping, and this made it difficult to take care of two young children at the same time. However, the MYA Joy pump has a handheld unit that can be powered by batteries and clipped right to my waist! I love it! I also really like that it has a digital screen on the front (my original pump had a dial to turn). This makes it a lot easier to customize the suction and makes it very user friendly. I also appreciate that Ameda includes a full set of extra parts for the pieces that need replaced over the course of the first few months (to keep everything sanitary). This takes the stress away of worrying about ordering extra parts in the beginning. Overall, I have had great experiences with Ameda pumps and I am eager to use this one. Ameda pumps are reliable, last a long time, have great suction, and work very well.
