MINKA-AIRE F896-84-CL Xtreme H2O 84 Inch Outdoor Ceiling Fan with DC Motor, Coal Black Finish

This is a HUGE fan that we've installed in our "great room" with a 14-foot ceiling. It's a gorgeous appliance, even if it sometimes looks like a giant propeller that could lift the roof. It doesn't do that at all. Instead, it's incredibly quiet, even at high speeds, and it circulates air without creating mini wind tunnels. In the winter, we spin it in one direction to circulate heat throughout the room; in the summer, we spin it in the other direction to better distribute A/C and cool the place down. Perfect.

The media could not be loaded. This fan is awesome👌I would recommend for 10ft ceilings or higher for indoors. I have a 10ft ceiling and replaced the 6" downrod that's included, probably for outdoors, and purchased a 12" downrod. This let's the big blades do their job and push air properly indoors without creating a vortex making some people believe this fan doesn't push air when it actually performs amazingly well, even on level 1. This fan pushes nearly 11,000 CFM (cubic feet per minute) on high. I purchase the charcoal color and I love the way this thing looks! Super quiet, you only hear the air it pushes. Not sure why some people gave this beastly beauty a bad review, but I love it.

The media could not be loaded. I had hoped this would move air well, it’s a gorgeous fan. I was skeptical because some reviews said it moved SO MUCH air that they had to leave it on the slowest setting, but others said it moved almost none. Well, my experience is that it moves almost none. I don’t think it’s worth the $500 price tag, but I bought two of them, and they’re installed so I guess I’m stuck with them for a while. Bummer.

Gorgeous, quiet and easy to install. Moved air quietly and efficiently in my open concept kitchen dining and living room. Excellent wallet and hundreds cheaper than in store purchases!

Arrived promptly, well packaged. Directions for assembly were very good (better than many I've seen lately). The amount of air that this fan can move is very good and it is easy to adjust the speed and direction with the remote. Very quiet even when on the highest speed. Make sure that your intended location is large enough for such an awesome fan, I replaced a dinky little builder model using this, we are pleased with the result.

Huge, looks great in my space, and tons of air flow!!

There were mixed reviews on the Extreme H20 but this really fit the bill for what we needed in our master bedroom. It had the streamline look & size we wanted so I pulled the trigger. This was installed in a new build & I had already installed 6 other fans from different manufacturers & by far this went up the easiest. I was worried about installing 8 blades from underneath the fan but it was easier than it initially appeared. The remote paired quickly with the fan & so far this has been the quietest fan in the house. I also installed a 65" just like this in my office due to how easy it was to install. There were complaints about not moving much air but so far, we only keep this on the "1" setting at night & it's all we need for air movement. If I want to get really crazy, I move it up to "2" but haven't taken it above that, so air movement isn't an issue. The best is how quiet it is, which is super important when sitting above your head at night. The DC motor makes it whisper silent. Time will tell about the longevity of it but for now, it's a 5 star purchase.

Fan looks great, just didn’t realize the fan blades are made of plastic. Fan is mounted near radiant heaters that have deformed fan blades. Great fan if not near heat.
