Charmuse and Mulberry silk on not one in the same which one of these silks is this product?

Mulberry is the type of silk worm that makes this silk. There are different grades of silk which are measured in mommes (MM). The higher the mommes the better (nicer the feel, drape and weight). Charmuse is how the silk threads are woven together and a common weave used in weaving silk. Satin is also a type of weave and not what the fabric is made from. Satin can be silk, polyester or nylon. three!

Why can't it be used for pillowcases and which country it comes from?

I believe the seller does sell pillowcases in this material. I only made a garment that doesn't get washed very often from it. I believe it's made in China, as that it where it shipped from. Very nice fabric.
