If you're looking for a thorough review - here you go!
I am not normally the person to get excited over new cleaning products. I just want something that does the job it's supposed to do - no bells and whistles necessary. This vacuum got me excited enough to come write a review. I'm going to break this down by features. - Chord length - The chord is nice and long! With my old vacuum I would get so annoyed because I was either accidentally pulling the plug out of the outlet or having to stop what I'm doing to change to a closer outlet just to finish a room. Drove me insane! With the Hoover I found myself able to do an entire room and sometimes start into another room all without having to change outlets. Seems silly to rave about but it saved me time and frustration. - Hose/tools - I live near the woods so I'm in a constant battle with spiders and cobwebs. A durable hose is important to help clean the hard to reach webs. I just received the vacuum yesterday so I cannot attest to the long lasting durability of the hose but it feels like a great quality and made my dusting rounds today a lot easier. My last vacuum the hose kept cracking and I would lose all suction and had to hold it a certain way to be able to clean. The Hoover also has an awesome feature where you can lower the suction of the hose which I found helpful today when a plant tipped over on my table and I was able to clean it up without sucking up the table cloth. As far as the tools - it came with this weird "pet" attachment that has heavy duty rubber strips instead of rollers - at first I looked at it like "what the heck is this going to do?" but let me tell you - it's amazing. I vacuumed my steps today with that attachment and while it's kind of awkward to use at first it completely transformed the carpet and brought it back to life! I literally texted my husband while he was at work saying "the pet attachment completely revitalized our carpet!!" (it's been a tough year so yea I'm pumped with any small wins). - Weight - I know some of the reviews said that it's too heavy and hard to push - I disagree. It's not the lightest vacuum I've ever owned but it definitely isn't too heavy. It has just enough weight to feel like it's built to last and it has amazing suction power that you can definitely feel when pushing but I did my entire house today - including carrying the unit up the stairs while cleaning them - and carrying the vacuum by the handle while using the hose to clean all along the trim and ceilings and I have no complaints about the weight. Trust me I'm no weight lifter so my arms would be falling off if this was too much to handle. - Hardwood/tile - I know a lot of vacuums say they are good for hardwood and tile floors - I have never been impressed with their abilities and opted for a broom and dust pan - I have three dogs so I would get what I like to call "fur tumbleweeds" not fun to deal with. The Hoover seemed to do an amazing job even on the non carpet areas of the house so I'm pretty pumped to not have to sweep around tumbleweeds anymore! So if anyone is still reading at this point...bottom line is so far I'm very impressed with this vacuum. If I remember I will come back and update about the long lasting durability but after researching a bunch of vacuums and seeing the prices I am happy to say that this vacuum is cheaper and seems to do an amazing job so far! The amount of dirt/dander/ and fur it picked up even though I recently vacuumed with my old vacuum is amazing (and disturbing!) My husband and I have noticed our allergies this year have been out of control and after seeing what this vacuum picked up I wasn't surprised! So hopefully now we will be getting some relief!

Super good UPDATE- SUPER SUCKS
Omg yeah the reviews are true! This vacuum works so good! I had a rug in my kitchen and no matter how much I vacuumed it with my old vacuum it would not get clean! With this vacuum it looks like new. I love this vacuum but it is a little heavy but not a problem for me. I'll update this review in a few months. Let me note that this is the first day I've used this vacuum.... UPDATED-- let me tell you after only 3 months this vacuum has a WHOLE BUNCH of issues. Alright first off the part broke where the hose is connected to the handle (my hubby made a bungie cord to fix the issue which is ridiculous since I paid over 200 dollars for this vacuum.) Second - the vacuum clogs constantly and we don't even have a messy home No more inside pets or nothing. Third -the motor just stops working all the time! Last but not least the brush roller just stopped working and now makes a horrible loud noise. My point is for this long review is to let you all know at first yes its great but you start seeing issues after the first week of buying! And that's why all the reviews are great but all in all it's just an expensive vacuum for all the issues. I could of bought one at Walmart for 40 bucks that would be better! A complete waste of time and money..

Good vacuum for price.
I bought this to replace an old Hoover that I LOVED and stopped working. It's pretty good, but maybe not as good as the old one. The handle on top of the dirt canister is recessed and difficult to hold without hurting your hand while using the vacuum (if you're toting the vacuum around and using the wand function). Overall it's working well so far. Good suction power, easy to empty, fairly easy to push around, nice swivel feature. Since Hoover stopped making the model of my old vacuum I'd buy this one again or recommend it. I just wish the cord-wrap feature wasn't attached to the handle that doubles as the wand, b/c you have to unwrap the entire cord anytime you need to pull out and use the wand.

3 of these malfunctioned within weeks
I wanted to love this vacuum! It's got great suction, it's designed well - easy to manipulate, simple to empty and clean, and the attachment is fantastic. We live in an older home with primarily hardwood floors, so the attachment wand is particularly important to me - I need it to have a very long reach, and this one does. Our first Hoover Max Life Pet Pro Swivel was delivered at the end of January. It worked well, but we noticed right away that there was a significant crack in the plastic around the handle, going down into the wand. The function of the vacuum didn't seem to be impaired yet, but we also felt that when buying a brand new vacuum, it ought to arrive free of damage, so we sent it back to Amazon and got a replacement of the same product. Our second vacuum arrived at the beginning of February. By the beginning of March, it also developed a crack in the plastic around the handle/wand. I was frustrated, but the vacuum was functioning without issue. Until the crack moved a little further, and then it effectively disabled the means by which the wand stays locked in place when not in use - so that when using the vacuum on a rug in the push/pull motion, every pull dislocated the wand. Which is, of course, attached to the handle itself. Every push was impossible to control - the vacuum moved at awkward angles. I'd have to move it around by pushing on the canister. Obviously, this wasn't acceptable or sustainable! We contacted Amazon, but the (30-day, I believe?) return window had just passed. Amazon customer service was great and connected us with Hoover customer service. Hoover arranged to send us another vacuum- same model. I was skeptical, but I really LIKED this vacuum (except for the breaking.....) and another replacement seemed to be our only option. Amazon couldn't refund any longer, and Hoover wasn't willing to. Our third vacuum arrived from Hoover by the end of March. On April 16, after vacuuming the area rug under my dining room table, I turned it off, pulled out the wand to get the edges of my floors, and pushed the power button again. The vacuum wouldn't turn back on. It lit up, but wouldn't run. I tried it in various outlets, but with no luck. I waited a few hours, tried again, and this time it did turn on. But the motor sounded very loud, and it had almost no suction. Over the next day or two, this just got worse until it had no suction whatsoever and was hot to the touch whenever it was turned on. We contacted Hoover, wanting a refund so that we could buy another vacuum - NOT a Hoover. Hoover, however, is unwilling to refund us because our original payment went to Amazon. They sent us another model. The customer service agent assured me that this new vacuum would meet my needs - and I was clear to tell her that the most important things to me are a long-reach wand and a HEPA filter. The vacuum that arrived is smaller and cheaper (149.99 vs. 199.99) than this model that I am reviewing, and the wand has a much shorter reach. It's bulkier, harder to manipulate, and I do not like it at all. I am at a loss about what to do at this point. Mostly, I'm disappointed in Hoover. I was all set to love this vacuum - like I said at the top, the design and function are just what I was looking for. But a machine that keeps breaking is just a bad machine. If Hoover had refunded us after the second vacuum had broken, I would have thanked them for their customer service and moved on. Instead, I am stuck with a Hoover model that doesn't meet my needs, and I will never buy another product from this company.

Def recommend :-) **1 year edit**
I would definitely recommend this vacuum. I’ve searched for a very long time for the perfect vacuum that can keep up with my Corgis hair balls all over the place lol and this one can definitely do the job. I wanted to make sure I actually used it before giving a review and I’ve had it for over a month now and use it at least twice a day & I still love it. The cord is very long where sometimes you can get caught up in it, but I’d rather have a long cord that can go thru almost my whole house without having to plug & unplug multiple times. I was nervous about some of the reviews showing some of the hair getting caught in the base but if you keep the carpet roller on constantly even on your hardwood floors, that seems to solve the issue. I had hair get stuck at the base too until I kept the roller on at all times. I’ve gone thru 2 vacuums prior to this one, and one was a Bissell specifically made for dogs & it broke down after two months. Definitely give this one a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. **OK So after having this for a year I feel like I have to edit my review. I’ve had it one year I’ve used it probably twice a day because I have a corgi dog who sheds a ton. I loved this vacuum and I’ve definitely put some miles on it, but I’m bummed bc the hose has a huge rip in it & You can not get replacement hoses. And now the little plastic piece where the wand hooks to the base broke. So now I cant swivel from side to side, basically useless. I was hoping a vacuum would last more than a year so I’m bummed. Loved it while it worked tho.

Loved it!
I bought this vacuum in the summer of 2021 during prime days. I spent about $150, and honestly it was worth every penny. I thought it did a remarkable job at picking up our two dogs hair and crumbs left over from our toddlers. It recently started going out and has broken. It lasted a little over 4 years and then went out. I’m really sad because we used it DAILY because it seriously was the best vacuum I’ve ever had. I’ve recommended it to others as well. It’s super easy to clean as well and I never felt like it’s was bulky. Currently about to purchase a second one!

SO HAPPY WITH PURCHASE.
MUST READ ALL this I wrote. You’ll be glad you did. So I have two labradors that shed like nobody’s business, it’s crazy, but I love my dogs, so the alternative is to just keep up with the hair. All the vacuums I’ve had so far were absolutely CRAP. And the cordless ones etc , they’re all a waste of time, (( for pet hair etc)) they just don’t have enough suction. PERIOD. And Either all the different vacuums I have purchased over the years , they’re either made cheap and they fall apart quickly , or they don’t do what they say. Nonetheless I sat down for hours the other day and reviewed , reviewed , reviewed all the different vacuums for pets and I only read a few negative things in the reviews about this one, ALL talking about that the vacuum itself is a little heavy to push , yes it can be, it has a lot of assessable parts that are real assessable to you very easily , you don’t have to put a lot of effort into using them. And they didn’t miss anything there’s one for the furniture for reaching high places etc. etc. And There all mostly right on the top. That’s one thing that makes it a little bit top-heavy. But everything is right there at your fingertips, if you see something in the ceiling grab it , clean it , something on the ceiling fan grab it clean it , very easily assessable is my point for all the attachments. AND The closer the vacuum is to the carpet (SETTING WISE ), the heavier it’s going to seem as far as pushing it , BUT there is a button ON IT called rotate suction control valve to reduce pushing pulling difficulty, so you CAN adjust it. However the closer it is to the carpet, the better it’s gonna suck all the hair up. This vacuum I tried it on just one of my area rugs first where the dogs are a lot AND holy crap, it picked up every hair and completely brightened the rug back up. It was full of dog hair that the other vacuum was JUST NOT getting. So I don’t usually do reviews, I don’t have the time normally, but I have to tell you this is the best pet vacuum I’ve ever purchased . It also swivels around furniture, but the main thing is if you’re looking for a really good pet vacuum that will really get the hair out of the carpet or off your furniture area rugs etc whatever you need it will suck it up. And you can use it on hardwood floors you just turn the brush off . There’s a button that will turn the brush off . And the dispenser is really easy to dump. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Best pet hair Vacuume I’ve ever had.. I’m Very happy with my purchase. Try it out you won’t be sorry. 😀. Thanks Hoover. Blows Bissell away. Sorry Bissell.

Need to fix hose and bottom wheels
I absolutely love this vacuum, the headlights make is super easy to see pet hair and anything else, cord is a great length and the swivel (took some getting used to) makes it ease to maneuver around corners and under cabinets. Honestly ALL vacuums should have headlights. I love how the wheels are rubber as my last vacuum had plastic wheels that started to damage my floors. However, the suction is great UNTIL the handle/hose forms holes at the bends. It's nearly impossible to track down a replacement. This is actually my 2nd because the first started having issues where the holes started forming, the clip at the handle to body broke, and the tiny wheels on the bottom (they don't sell replacements) started to peel off the rubber. They make the same vacuum but change the name every couple of years. This one is doing the same.

Great vaccume
Works great. Has lots of suction power. It is a little heavy to pick up, probably because of the heavier suction motor.

Excelente producto

Love this vacuum. It’s really easy to use and manoeuvre, has a large capacity, lots of suction power, and can be used for carpets and couches. Removes a lot of pet hair!

Great product
However, this is my 3rd vacuum in 3 years from hoover. Clip breaks pretty easy that hold want in place. Also this model had the seal installed incorrectly from manufacturing. That being said it glued the canister together creating a mess of debris. Check your machines when ordering. Corresponding with hoover which stopped when I asked which model they were replacing as I have receipts for the last 2 I bought which both models have 5 year warranties. As the closest repair shop authorized is 3 plus hours away one way. No impressed but hell bent on a resolution
