Great value for the cost.

Easy to swallow
These are easy-to-swallow capsules! I normally can't swallow large pills ('horse' pills), but these are light and slide down easily! Works great for open soars in the mouth (herpes). No side effects. It's an amino acid. I've tried the powders with Vit C, but don't care for the taste. Water works with these, but anything thicker, like juice or milk, makes it feel like you're not swallowing anything at all. I'm a petite size, so 1,000 mg (2 capsules) work for me on a daily basis, if needed. My Dr suggested this based on comments from other patients. When I feel the tingling of a soar (the sign that a soar is coming), I take 3,000 mg every day for 3 days, then back to 1,000 mg for a couple days just to be sure it's gone. The soar doesn't start! This is natural, and I believe it's better than taking a prescribed medication, like Acyclovir.

I got this for our cats
The vet recommended Lysine for our cat that appeared to have itchy skin. It seems to work -- just a little bit in his wet food. These capsules are easy to open and pour out the powder... I get about 3-4 doses from each capsule for the cat. It would be nice to just buy Lysine a powder form, but this is the next best thing.

Very good buy for a great supplement
Very good buy! This isn't a cheap supplement. Capsules aren't small but coated and easy to swallow. L lysine is an important amino acid and it helps heal my fever blisters and canker sores faster.

Not sure why Amazon doesn’t always have this anymore but if they don’t Sprout's usually does.

Big but they work!
I got these for cold-sores and cankersores! They are larger but they go down easily!! I take 2, 3x a day with an active cold-sore every day until 1 day after and my cold-sore NEVER formed but I could feel it trying to bust through every day! I really like these and plan to ALWAYS have a bottle on hand!!!
