These USED to be genuine silk, but product has changed :(
UPDATE, Oct. 2024: I came back to this listing to order more, but am very disappointed to see that the description has been changed to "vegan silk", which is a marketing term for a fabric that is like silk in some way, but is not actual silk. In this case, based on recent reviews and Q&As, it looks like the company has changed their fabric to polyester satin, which may have a similar look and feel to real silk satin, but has none of the skin and hair benefiting properties or temperature regulating effects. What a shame.I'm not sure why a couple of the top-rated reviews say these pillowcases aren't real silk, and those reviewers didn't explain why they thought that. ?? I think it's possible those people are actually used to polyester microfiber satin, which is often falsely called "silk" these days, and has a more slippery feel than real silk. (Also, most silk pillowcases are sold individually, and the description one these is clear about the price being for one single case only, so if you need a pair, make sure you purchase two!)I am absolutely certain that the Yanibest pillowcase I received is genuine 100% silk; I have very sensitive skin, and silk is the best fabric for it, being made of a protein fiber that's very similar to skin, rather than a non-absorbent plastic fiber like polyester, or a too-absorbent plant fiber like cotton. (Next-best fibers for my skin include bamboo rayon or viscose, Tencel lyocell/eucalyptus lyocell, linen, modal, and rayon and viscose made from other types of wood.) Wearing or lying on silk makes my skin feel so soft and smooth, never too dry or too oily. So I know just by that alone that this pillowcase is real silk. And of course, silk is great for hair care too, as it won't suck the moisture out of your hair the way cotton pillowcases do, and also reduces friction so you get less tangling. For anyone who can't tell that way, you can simply cut a little bit of extra fabric from an inside seam and burn it. Silk, again, is a protein fiber, so when burned it smells like burnt hair and crumbles to ash; polyester will smell like burnt plastic and just melt. The quality is VERY nice for a ~$25 silk pillowcase! Reviewers saying it should be better quality for the price are definitely not used to buying real silk. This is a GREAT price for a real silk pillowcase, especially one made with a nice hidden zipper and a substantial fabric weight. The teal color is also gorgeous - a very rich sea-blue color, exactly what I wanted.Since silk is protein fiber, it requires different, more gentle care than your typical plant or plastic fiber fabrics do. Make sure you use a silk-safe detergent; I use Soak for my smaller handwash silk items, and Woolite Extra Delicates for larger things like bedding that need to go in the washing machine. Never use heat - cold water only, and air-dry only if you put it in the dryer! For pillowcases, I turn them inside out and zip mostly closed, just leaving enough of an opening that I can unzip it again after; then put them in a mesh lingerie bag and wash on the most gentle cycle in cold water, and tumble dry on the air only setting, still inside the lingerie bag, to avoid friction from the sides of the dryer and other items. Don't use any fabric softener, it's not needed and will leave a coating on your silk. You can also line dry or dry flat - the fabric will come out a little stiffer, but will soften up again quickly with use.I love silk fabric so much, and I hope these tips help some of you enjoy your silk more too! I very much recommend these pillowcases, and I'm about to order several more colors.

I love the Yanibest silk pillow cases!
I have curly hair frizzy hair. My first silk pillowcase was a Blissy silk pillowcase and a gift from my Besty as she had had read how much silk pillowcases smooth curly hair. They’re also great for reducing facial wrinkles and at 71 I need all the help I can get! Blissy silk pillowcases are expensive, even with all their discounts. When I finally wore it out until it had holes I started looking for something with the same quality but a better price. I now have three silk pillowcases that I rotate to sleep on. The Yanibest are my fave. I have to admit I had my doubts after the Blissy, but upon receiving the first one I liked it enough to order the same one, again. The Quality is excellent and they are very soft to the touch and made of high grade silk with a close tight weave. The zippers are invisible so you have the whole case to use. FYI- I hand wash mine, but you can put them in a washing machine bag and wash them on the delicate or hand wash cycle of your washing machine. I NEVER put them in the dryer, but drip dry them.If you’re looking for a quality silk pillowcase, at a reasonable price, I would chose this one. You can easily afford three of these of these Yanibest silk pillowcases to one Blissy!Your hair and face will love you for it!

Love it! Keeps hair from breaking
I needed a silk pillowcase because I am pretty rough on my hair. It was breaking off, and I was losing more hair than usual in my brush, and in the shower since I got highlights. When I got a hair cut, the stylist told me my hair was broken off around my ponytail and in the back. I can't see back there, so I didnt know it was that bad lol. I was using the wrong shampoo, had a rough pillowcase, and I was not taking any care when I brushed. Along with wearing a ponytail in the same spot all the time and making the hair tie tight so it would stay in place. So the stylist told me all kinds of tips on what I should do. I bought sulfate free shampoo for color treated hair, an amazing conditioner, a shower head with a filter in it, a satin and a velvet scrunchie, and this pillowcase, almost all from amazon lol. I have become addicted to amazon recently and I love reading reviews. I can scroll for hours to get one item, because I only buy things that are everything I envisioned they should be in my mind, so it pretty much has to be perfect. And I'm cheap too, so I want perfection at a really good price. This pillowcase had a zipper, was pure 100% silk, had the brown (chocolate) color I needed to match my sheets, good reviews, and it was cheaper than another one I almost bought until I realized the other one didnt have a zipper. I have a "my pillow" and this pillowcase makes my pillow stay in place because the inside of this pillowcase kinda grabs the pillow and holds it in place. My old pillowcase was 600 thread count cotton and it was nice, but it was smooth inside so the pillow got flat. I have been missing out my whole life because silk is so different, and way better. I had bought a sheet set like 10 years ago that I thought was silk at the time. I didn't know there was any difference between silk or satin. I would wake up and my whole body and my hair would be drenched with sweat, and it was winter... I had to throw them out after a few weeks because I couldn't take it anymore. And Im cheap, so I hate to waste money. Anyway, this pillowcase doesnt get hot, and is smooth so my hair won't break off. Since I have been taking care of my hair, I barely have any hair at all in the brush. I will post a pic but it was the day I got my highlights so it is before most of the damage from the ponytail. I have always lost a good amount of hair, but I never put any thought or effort into doing anything about it until now.

Really works.
Nice feel and my hair is less crazy in the mornings. I have a memory foam pillow and it is hard to get on but doable.
