Easy as ABC
Very new to the sprouting revolution I wanted to get off to the best possible start. These broccoli seeds germinated quickly and within a few days in a sprouting jar were ready to eat - and were delicious, crisp and fresh tasting. Following the simple rules of sprouting has led to success every time. Already an essential part of my daily diet

Sprouted well
I’ve sprouted seeds for a long while but not broccoli before, & was mindful of some reports of attempts having failed. But I was careful to rinse them only once each day & to shake out all of the water, & to keep the sprouts covered, & voilà , after 4 days have a jar-full of well-sprouted, healthy looking sprouts from only one tablespoon of seeds! Very pleased. (It’s worth noting for some who perhaps aren’t aware: these are the, optimal, Calabrese seeds & not the raab seeds some other vendors are selling, the raab seeds are also broccoli seeds but have significantly less nutritional value.) The seeds were also sent out promptly & are in a resealable pouch. So, very pleased with my purchase.

Would be good if this could be confirmed as broccoli calabrese
Germinates well, good strong microgreens with a nice flavour. However, I bought for the sulforaphane content, and would like it if there could be some official confirmation that they are broccoli calabrese seeds. The short video left by Amazon Customer on 3 June 2022 shows the fully grown product looking like wild cabbage (search Wikipedia brassica oleracea (var. oleracea) for a picture). I'll probably try growing it out myself in the spring.

Root Hairs
If you are new to broccoli sprouts, there are two main things that you need to know.1) They grow root hairs. The visual effect of this can be very similar to fungal mold, so before you bin them and complain, examine a few under a strong magnifying glass. You should find that the base of the shoot looks like a bottle brush with white filaments. The "fungal" look is probably just the accumulative effect of these hairs, so be certain before you assume it to be degradation. The hairs will mostly vanish with rinsing because they flatten to the stem.2) They don't tolerate super-high temperatures. A warm spot is fine, ideal even, but if you stick them in a hot airing cupboard or stand them on a heater without spacers, they may stop growing and get smelly. However, the warmer they are, the faster they grow, so it is all trial and error. You may need to waste a few finding the perfect temperature.Oh, and they need rinsing twice a day, morning and night. This is fairly essential. If you skip the evening rinse, there is a good chance that the root hairs will overgrow and knit together into a mat. You'll never separate them. And the sprouts will become fibrous and chewy. Plus, they may develop bacteria. But, besides that, they are relatively easy to grow.Best of luck.

Very good germination
These calabrese sprouts are very good compared to the raab I purchased from another vendor but had to return it as after trying endlessly for two weeks they only germinated a few outside in the soil and they were hard to retrieveThese are very much better

Do far so good
I've only just received the seeds and just down them. Do I can't honestly say how they grow or there taste. The quality seems to be there and value for money seems to be there.

Sprouted ok but after watching the video review I hope they are definitely Broccoli?
Sprouted very well, after seeing the video and comments it would be interesting to grow some to confirm they are indeed Broccoli. 🤷‍♂️
