PacTool Gecko Gauge for Engineered Wood Siding - 7/16" Thick, 2-Pack Clamps

We are currently putting Hardie board planks up and these make it so easy you can do it yourself! They slide in under the second board and space it where it you want it. It is adjustable to make the spacing different sizes as to if you want a straight line on either side of a door or window. They work great! Originally bought a set at Lowe's, but returned them as I needed to get a building permit to do this work so I had to wait. Then I found them on Amazon. Less expensive and shipped out immediately. If you are a homeowner as I am and doing this work yourself, don't forget to wrap your house with the correct tape and use the Gecko's. They make putting it up so easy!

Very valuable and a huge time saver. A must for one-man application. Holds any length in position while you make final adjustments and nail it fast. I pinned both ends and the middle of long boards, so that on the next course the Gecko gage would easily slide under that board. Then after pinning the next course I would go back and nail the previous course every 16 inches. Then repeat the process as I worked up. This way I never had any problem sliding the Gecko gage under the underling course of siding. Adjusts in 1/4 inch increments down to 4 inches to the weather but by inserting a spacer in the slot holding the siding you can go to spacing below 4 inches which was necessary for me in some places to match existing siding on an old house. Easily handles 18 footers. A great tool. I learned about these gages from a YouTube video. It would be good for the manufacturer to have a video on the web page where it is sold so first time users like me understood how to use it.

Great for lp siding and other siding, get your bottom one started and straight. And use this and keep a check.

These are a great invention. They did an excellent job of providing a consistent reveal for my entire LP siding job. Two comments... 1) if you are using greater than 8 ft siding spans you need an extra set. The two guages struggle with the siding weight. It can be done, but not recommended. 2) when clamping these down they tend to bow out from the siding surface. Seems like a design flaw. It is still workable, but there were some complications that you need to deal with Overall they did speed up the job and allowed me to "single man" my entire project. A few more iterations of this product are still needed. However, I would recommend these to anyone.

These gauges are a must have for hanging siding. Nice to have the extra set of hands plus ensures each row is installed with proper spacing. Well worth the cost. Very easy to use.

Absolute must have product for lap siding installation. It enabled me to work solo, but I imagine it is also useful to increase efficiency when working as a team.

Ist jetzt kein Messgerät :) Als Montagehilfe hervorragend, selbst bei größeren Längen. Hat bei mir keine Spuren an Faserzementdielen hinterlassen. Wenn ich die nicht schon hätte, würde ich sie kaufen.
