Hair feels amazing!!!

I love everything about this shampoo, other than maybe the price. It smells great & leaves my hair so soft & yet lightweight. My issues is the manner in which it was packed & shipped. It was in a plastic bag & then placed inside the bubble mailer. When I opened the package the shampoo had leaked inside the plastic bag. The dispenser top had not been secured. I cleaned up the bottle salvaged as much of the product that had leaked out. This morning went to use it, the dispenser pump was broken, Not visibly, however, it would not pump out any product & was leaking around the top. Disappointed in the packing of a premium beauty product.

I do like the smell of this shampoo and I do like that it cleans my hair but I usually wash my hair no more than every other day due it being a little thin and with this shampoo my hair will need to be washed everyday due to the amoint of oil my hair accumulates in just 24 hours. I do not have this issue with other shampoos so I think this one is just a little rich for my hair.

I apply this hair gloss to damp hair after a shower, and when my hair dries, it is so soft and silky! I am very happy with the results. I also have the full size shampoo and conditioner, and I love them, so I am glad that I have travel sizes!

I want to love it, but I don’t. I’m very disappointed that after 3 days of use, the product is caking my hair, it feels heavier. I also CANNOT stand the smell, it’s overpowering and nauseating. Unfortunately, I need to find a new brand to go to with. I loved the bamboo alterna line, but this does not match up. I’m hoping to return it for a refund otherwise that’s a significant amount of money down the drain.

I ordered Alterna's My Hair My Canvas shampoo. I was sent a bottle of Volumizing Blowout Mist instead, therefore that is the product I will review here.I stopped using a blow dryer on my hair a few years ago. I did blow dry my hair in order to try out Alterna's volumizing blowout spray. This spray is a nice, light mist spray-and it IS a mist spray. It doesn't fly out of the bottle as a regular spray would, it comes out in a mist that covered my hair with a total of 3 sprays. (My hair is thick -some thinning in scalp area- and shoulder length) I didn't even feel it land on my hair-if I hadn't been watching in a mirror as I applied it, I think I would have thought it had missed my hair entirely! That's how light it is. At no point could I feel it sitting on my hair-not while my hair was wet, not when it was dry. It did not weigh my hair down or cause it to look/feel greasy. It did not make my hair look/feel crunchy either. After spraying/combing my hair,I used the blow dryer. My natural waves tend to frizz out while using a blow dryer. That did not happen after I used this spray, though I did use it on the low setting. My hair was nice and soft and wavy when it dried. The spray has a light, refreshing scent though it was pretty much gone by the time my hair had dried. Alterna mist provides volume while protecting hair from heat (up to 450 degrees) and humidity for up to 72 hours. Its extremely hot and unbearably humid here right now. My hair turns into a huge, frizzy cottonball in extreme heat/humidity. Alterna really did a great job of keeping it nice and calm, though I didn't get 72 hours worth of protection. It kept my hair nice and calm for about 48 hours before it started to become frizzy. That's still impressive, seeing as the heat and humidity here is extreme right now. I had no issues styling my hair after using this. Alterna mist works very, very well. I'm pleased with the results. Because I do not normally blow dry my hair, after testing this out I did give the bottle to my mother who does blow dry her hair. She too, did not get a full 72 hours worth of protection (day and a half, according to her...and she lives near me and experienced the same heat/humidity I did) but she is still pleased with the Alterna and continues to use it. We're both impressed with the results and recommend Alterna spray to those who blow dry hair.

I received and am reviewing the Alterna Soaring High Volumnizing Blowout Mist. It’s formulated for 72-hour humidity control and is a heat protectant up to 450 degrees. I have dry, fine hair that damages easily and needs to be blown out after every wash or it dries shapeless and frizzy. My hair is recovering from breakage from heat damage. I color every 4 weeks with permanent dye. I’ve needed a good heat protectant, but it seems like alcohol is often a main ingredient and I can’t risk further drying.This Alterna spray is a lightweight, fine mist spray I use before blow drying. It has no alcohol, so that‘s a big plus. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it greasy. I get good volume without my hair getting dried out. My hair feels soft, but it still holds its style and doesn’t go flat. I can’t judge the long term effects but am hopeful this will help my hair recover and that I’ll see more improvement, especially in the hair that frames my face as that’s where I have noticeable thinning from breakage.It’s really low humidity where I live right now, so I also can’t fully judge humidity control. But I do notice that my hair stays smooth and frizz free all day and into the next day even if my hair gets a little damp from sweating (as it’s a heat wave right now). I am taking a star off for the fragrance because of the chemicals and this spray smells like a sweet coconut scent to me (not a coconut fan). But it doesn’t linger or put me off enough not to use this spray. Like it. 4 stars.

Usually, Alterna offers very good products and only a small amount is needed. This shampoo requires 10 PUMPS to adequately wash my shoulder length hair; somtimes more. The shampoo will ran out in 10 days so I'm going back to my tried and true Olapex of which you require very shampoo and conditioner (less than the size of a quarter.
