Biesemeyer 79-065 12 foot Right 3/4-Inch English Adhesive-Backed Measuring Tape

My new Steel City cabinet saw came with a cheap plastic measuring tape that stretched when I put it on. It was accurate up to 10" but was off by 1/8" past 23". I did some reading and realized that the good self adhesive tapes were actually made of steel instead of plastic. In terms of longevity, steel will surely outlast the plastic. The Biesemeyer steel tape is premium quality, has accurate and easy to read markings and the adhesive is very strong. I highly recommend this tape as a replacement for anyone looking for accuracy on their table saw fence. The 3/4" width is much easier to read than the 1/2" tapes available from other manufacturers. The only tip I have is to use a sharp utility knife and straight edge to cut the tape to length. Scissors won't make a clean cut and just chew up the steel.

Original equipment, nice and clear, accurate and sturdy. Using it on my new home made table saw fence that is going on my craftsman saw.

THE TAPE WAS GREAT. TOOK ME MORE TIME CLEANING UP THE AREA THAN TO PUT IN IN PLACE.

It sticks to the substrate, and you can take measurements by reading it. That's all I expected from it. Enough said.

Great Tape if it were accurate. This tape has a 1/16" error! Unfortunately I discovered the error after installing it on my new fence rail. It will be returned to Amazon. Starret will be its replacement.
