Excellent Grip Exercise Device!
I bought this with the silicon grips. It feels very comfortable in my hand. It adjusts tension easily. It feels very solid and durable. It is very well made, with good strong materials, and functions smoothly. I have had other grip exercise devices that did not hold my interest due to discomfort, or limited capability. This is one I will be using for a long time, and as I get stronger it will continue to challenge me because I can keep raising the tension. I hesitated a lot before purchasing this because of the high price. After using it I have no regrets--it was money well spent. I bought this as a result of an arm injury. I came to the conclusion my mediocre grip strength was a possible contributor to my injury. Earlier in my recovery even the lowest setting on this device was too high for my injured hand. So that is something to consider. I used more remedial things like soft squeeze balls, etc. Even for my uninjured arm the lowest setting is one I like to use at times. I am an adult male in my late 60's and I work a lot with my hands. Even with daily physical work my grip strength was diminishing, and I was seeing the limiting effects of that in a variety of activities like tree pruning and construction. This device is helping to counteract that. Note: I use it both upright and upside down, as this varies angles at which my fingers are engaged.

One of the best grips that i ever purchased
Very well made, good quality and materials One of the best grips that i ever purchased I recommend to choose the SILICONE version cause its very comfortable and dont slip on hands I was expecting to be a bit more difficulty (heavier) but looks like i got stronger hahaha For brazilian customers: I bought direct from AMAZON US and received in my home (Brazil), worth every money!

Flawless
I researched and read so many reviews of the different versions of the GD grip trainers and ended up ordering this one. I am certain I picked correctly. It is sturdy, smooth, and way to adjust. It has three width settings and many strength settings. The grips are grippy and comfortable. Feels like it will last forever. Absolutely worth the price.

An Eternal Grip Strengthener, Spend The Money and Never Buy Another
The quality on this strength trainer is phenomenal. It’s mostly metal, the silicone grip is soft and helpful, the adjustable options are amazing, and the stand makes it almost an ornament or decoration in a room. The power this thing holds is insane too! It goes real high and I know I can train with this for a LONG time. I have no worries about it breaking in my hands like cheaper, louder grips. This one is smooth, quiet, and powerful. If you want a quality grip strength training too, this one has 5/5 quality for sure and is worth the money.

Amazing quality, amazing versatility. Must buy for grip training enthusiasts
Just unboxed this and tried it out, so this is an initial review. The quality of this gripper is phenomenal. Definitely a well made piece. Puts competitors to shame, which is fairly hard to do given the simplicity of what hand grippers are. 1) it’s silent. I have several Captains of Crush grippers and they develop a squeak that can get annoying. 2) Decent range of difficulty. This replaces the Captains of Crush Guide through the 1.5. 3) Easily adjustable. I have other adjustable grippers with wider range, but they involve moving two heavy springs to random spots. Those spots aren’t indicated and usually require an internet search to determine what the resulting difficulty amounts to. But, they lack other adjustments.... 4) adjustable width. The gripper can be adjusted to hand size. My CoC grippers are just past the limit of comfort for my medium hands. This becomes an issue when progressing up a difficulty level. I find myself with a weird angle in my wrist. This leads to wrist pain that eventually starts to negatively affect my grip training and other exercises (think bicep curls). This is a HUGE improvement for me. 5) In-line handles. Has a better feel AND helps prevent the angling of the wrist I mentioned. 6) The handles themselves feel great. Plenty of texture for traction but the actual checkering isn’t sharp. New Captain of Crush grippers usually have a sharp texture that’s rough on hands until you break them in. I work in the medical field so keeping my hands relatively smooth is appreciated. Not to mention potentially compromising my skins integrity can put me at risk in said environment. This is a great gripper that replaces six $20 grippers if you use CoC grippers. The handles can also be adjusted down by removing set screws. This givens a little more leverage when working on going from one stage to the next. Definitely worth every penny at $50. If you’re big into grip training you owe it to yourself to try this gripper. Unless something changes this is replacing my beloved CoC grippers

Great quality but not perfect for everyone
I have the 90. I would give a 4.5 if I could but I'm rounding down for things that are not perfect for me. The build quality is an easy 5 star. The metal grip has a sharp texture for excellent grip but it will grind away soft hands. I'm using a disposable glove on the 141/64 setting or above, otherwise my palm looks red and will likely bleed in time. The spring is being compressed, you do not pull the spring apart. As the spring collapses, the tension changes by a lot. I'm not clear where the 141lbs part of the squeeze is in the power band. My 12 dollar spring is smooth across the entire power band. So what you get with this is and easy squeeze to start and it progressively tightens up.If you are good with that then it's not an issue. I might prefer having 3 or 4 basic spring tensioned devices because the power is smooth from when you start to finish the squeeze. With the Iron 9 it feels like the 141 lb mark is a tiny part of the power band. I wanted to describe the issue as good as I could. Yes, I do like this device and will keep it but if I wanted to do it again, I would buy maybe 3 of the one trick pony spring devices that do one weight only. For the smooth power band.

Finally, a Grip Exerciser That's Well-Designed and Well-Made
In the gym, for most of my training that involves pulling, I use lifting straps because otherwise the grip is the weakest link in terms of poundage used. It's not that I have a weak grip; it's just that the major muscles of the back (or glutes, quads, and hamstrings for deadlifts) are a heckuva lot larger and more powerful than muscles like the flexor digitorum profundis and flexor pollicis longus in the forearm that are involved in gripping. Because of that, I've ended up with a collection of various standalone grip exercise devices that I can use a few times a week while sitting in the recliner and watching Prime Video (shameless plug) in the evenings. Most of those options are either fairly flimsy or very poorly calibrated in terms of resistance. For example, I have one set of traditional coiled spring grips where the 200 lb and 250 lb versions are completely indistinguishable. The GD Iron Grip is a phenomenal design. At first, I thought it was going to be too difficult to change the resistance and/or the length of travel. A few minutes with the user manual and practicing the procedures a couple of times and both adjustments are an absolute breeze that can be done in about 5 seconds. And the unit is built like a tank. The dual, high-torsion springs will no doubt last decades, and the resistance settings feel like the real deal. The 141 lb setting feels about like the aforementioned 250-lb coiled spring grip, and I can't effectively use the 198 lb setting yet. Unlike a bunch of other home-use exercise equipment I've bought, this one is worth every penny.

excellent quality, great useability, good value. slightly diff from captains of crush but nevertheless awesome
excellent quality. i am very impressed. it is pleasing to the eye and fun to use to workout. for years i had to lug around 8 different captains of crush grippers but that is just more convenient. although this gripper is awesome and well worth the money, ill detail the pros and cons, and compare them only to the COC grippers since i have no other standard to compare them to. pro - good price for quality. dont buy the GD90 because it is litearally the same design except slightly heavier spring. great quality. perfect fitment and alignment, everything is steel/stainless/aluminum, except the caps of the spring ends which seem to be plastic. even the hardware is good quality, and it seems some parts are riveted but very secure. convenient. the weight basically is very similar to the COC guide, trainer, .5, but then the next 3 are a bit heavier than the others 1, 1.5, and 2. but overall its easy to get different kinds of strength training, depending on reps, holding, or maxing out. single plane pivot, no axis. unlike the COC grippers, this one feels more natural since it pivots on a pin, instead of a large rotating spring. cons - small range of motion. unlike the COC grippers, the range of motion is noticeably less. it doesnt open up as wide the strength increment seems to increase faster than the COC grippers, meaning that the kind of spring feels harder the more you squeeze, but at a much greater rate than the COC grippers. maybe just the design each setting is very noticeably different. i wish there were more or finer settings for weight. once i move up to the next one, it just feels impossible. knurling is not as sharp - grip is easier on your skin but not as overall grippy Other thoughts - because the fulcrum/pivot is further from the handles compared to the COC grippers, this one feels different. its not better or worse, but when the gripper closes, the handles are parallel, whereas the COC gripper has a more motion near the pinky than the index finger. also, the numbers on this gripper seem much more difficult than the COC grippers. for example, the COC 2.0 is advertised at 195lbs, and i can close it consistently. however, the highest setting on the IG80 is 176, and i'm only about 80% able to close it. I initially thought i might need to buy the IG90 but good thing i saved $20 because i can't fully close this one. Conclusion - its a different kind of gripper and well worth the money. i keep this in my car and train forearms when sitting in traffic, and only need 1.

AMAZING DEVICE
Absolutely incredible purchase. The handles are incredibly sturdy, this thing was built to last. But it’s almost mandatory to get the tape with it as the abrasive metal is too course for most hands. Super easy to change weight for it as well!

Prima product
Met dit apparaat doe je geen miskoop. Oer degelijk uitgevoerd en met genoeg weerstand voor de sterksten onder ons. Ik ben blij met dit apparaat en kan me niet voorstellen dat het geen jaren en jaren mee gaat.
