Imported this DVD on Amazon Italy last Spring along with the 2nd volume, because at the time this DVD had yet to be listed here on Amazon USA. Now onto the review.Regal Academy: Volume 1 is a cartoon DVD from Italy labelled as a PAL Region 2 import, and it contains the first 13 episodes from season 1 on 2 discs and are played at the correct order according to episodes 6~10 because that's how it was originally aired on Rai YoYo right before Nickelodeon altered the episode order for the English dub. These season 1 episodes on this set are the original Italian version indeed, and it also includes bonus features such as the karaoke singalongs of the opening and closing themes (Viva la Magia / Regal Academy respectively) and the magic of the Rose Pumpkin and Astoria Tower. Over 5 hours of magical fairytale adventures!Coming decades after the events of the classic Disney fairy tales, the story begins with Rose Cinderella (granddaughter of Cinderella & Prince Charming) using a magical key to discover FairyTale Land, and gets enrolled into the academy so she can learn and study magic as well as making new friends. Rose's adventure is truly guaranteed to be magical after all!I love this show, just because I had to find a Winx Club replacement and Regal Academy is the answer!And a consumer warning to all, don't forget you'll need a region-free DVD player, PAL region 2 DVD/BD player, external DVD burner set to region 2, or a Japanese/European PS4 to watch region 2 DVDs before ordering.

Great show. I ended up watching it on Nickelodeon's website as it came out, which is free if you have a cable package that includes Nick. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like all the eps are available there anymore, so this is probably the best place to watch it. I'll likely buy it either here or on DVD when I'm looking for a re-watch. Think to know - on Nick and most episode guide sites, vol 1 and vol 2 are just considered a single season numbered 1-26.

This show obviously isn't as great as Winx Club, or Ever After High but it is enjoyable. At first I was worried I wouldn't enjoy it because I loathed Rose's Italian voice, but thank goodness her English voice isn't too over the top. Some would describe her personality as Stella from Winx Club but 3x's as much, she's literally a shoe-a-holic, and still adjusting from finding out she's the granddaughter of Cinderella.

Molto bello, fatto bene, alla mia bimba piace molto e anche a mamma e papa'. Aspettiamo con ansi il secondo volume.
