Bought this sit-up for a Hot Wheels/Tyco Dune Devil R/C car, X-Mas gift for the grandson. Received the battery packs about four days after placing order. Charged both Packs while waiting for the car to arrive. The charger has a charge indicator light that does work. After Christmas the batteries were cycled non-stop for about a week as every adult relative showed the four and a half year old grandson how to drive the car. The batteries and Charger have worked flawlessly. The Car will run 30 to 45 minutes on a charge and with two packs that's pretty much non-stop. The power, cars speed, with the NiMh batteries is much more impressive. These batteries seem to be will made and will most likely outlast the car there powering. If the price seems a little high I thing it's a case of you get what you pay for.

Order this knowing that it might not fit but it all worked out! Son had a Tonka Ricochet RC truck the original battery and charger was dead, so I figured I give this a shot since it wasn't to expensive and now he has two batteries instead of one. Only minor issue is this battery pack is ever so slightly longer and thicker then the original 800mAh battery. The thickness isn't a concern but the length means you have to push it in and you will hear the plastic creak a bit, but it not super tight and not hard to take out, just not as easy as the original battery.The RC car has been sitting there for about 6 months without use so I can't remember how long the 800mAh battery lasted but I can say this 2000mAh battery worked for 25 min of continuous play and it's still not dead yet.If you have a Hasbro Tonka Ricochet RC truck get this battery kit and don't worry you and your kid will have hours of fun!http://www.hasbro.com/en-us/product/tonka-ricochet-r-c-vehicle-gray-and-orange:CC74E885-19B9-F369-101D-9A26AD80262A

I have a 30 yr old Tyco RC Hammer from my youth. Needless to say, the super old NiCd battery, while surprisingly functional, had a short life and didn't provide the power needed to make this thing go fast.Bought this set and it gives at least a good 50 minutes (haven't run out of battery really) of play time.Only gripe is that the charger is a bit slow. I also dont know about safety features re: overcharging , though it doesn't get very hot if you leave it in. I think that overcharging feature is more a protection of the battery's longevity.Get this if you need to give new life to your old RC vehicles!

My son has a remote control car that came with a 1200 MAH battery so I looked here and found these 2,000 MAH batteries which will run his remote a lot longer and and when one runs down which really takes a long time then we just throw another in and keep the wheels spinning.I would recommend a fast charger with a shut down feature to keep from over charging these batteries or even catching your home on fire which happened to my daughters brand new home.These are not the batteries he was using or the same charger but ANY charger you get should have a temperature shut off if the battery gets to hot and a shut off when the battery is fully charged and Amazon sells them here. Also, it charges the battery 4 times faster than the little cheap charger that came with the car.Really good batteries !

I bought these batteries to build a hovercraft for our Science Olympiad class. We were looking for high-voltage and lightweight batteries for better control. These batteries are a perfect fit for our use case.

Work fine but came with Tamaya connectors so had to replace them with standard RC plane connectors.

These are nice little upgrade batteries to revive my old Tyco mini-typhoon hovercraft from 20+ years ago. The batteries seem to have plenty of power and definitely last notably longer than the original Nicad batteries ever did.My primary complaint is with the included charger. The information here states its indicator light should turn green once a pack is fully charged. This was not my experience. Instead, the charger is perpetually showing a red indicator light, even after leaving the pack plugged in for 2 days. This is true for both of the included packs. This makes me wonder if the batteries are being overcharged and damaged in the process.

Bought the set to run in my 2 old Tyco R/C cars with my nephew . Did my research on the dimensions and connection type. They hold a charge and are well built but they’re slightly bigger than both the given dimensions and the old Ni-cd packs that came with my cars so they didn’t fit. No available return so buyer beware.

Though not recommended, I used these batteries as replacement for dead batteries in Spike The Dinosaur. They fit perfectly within the battery cavity. Had to replace the connectors though
