Bad Night Stand (Billionaire's Club Book 1)

nice read
A free book, so why not try a billionaire fantasy? They were both rich, so it was not the trope of some poor girl working in a coffee shop attracting a handsome rich man. Here they both had sadness in their family lives, and wrapping everything up, we learn what really caused her father's behaviour.

Devoured this book
I had been in a bit of a reading slump and I absolutely devoured this book in less than 24 hours! I typically enjoy the broody enemies to lovers trope, but this was actually refreshing, and was able to have me hooked the first 3 chapters!

Boy did he dig himself a big hole!
I've never seen a guy screw up so badly, so quickly! Lol. That was a Bad Night Stand and then some. Good thing this story ends with a happily ever after because despite your "hammer", Jordan that was a terrible move! 😏Be incredulous. Be angry. Hut Don let them get in the way of your happily ever after!

Wow! Totally unexpected
So many books in this genre read exactly alike. But this was so refreshingly different. The story was different, in a great way. The characters were well developed, and mature for once. I get so tired of characters that “behave” like 12 year-olds. These were actual adults. It was an excellent book!

Bad families Corporate espionage
Classic opening of 2 women in bar with one gathering all the men in hot panting around her and the other essentially ignored. Well, except for 1 guy … and she doesn’t believe him at all. Ah, but then it has some awesome twists and turns… corporate espionage … a precious child needing a heart transplant. Some well written sex scenes.

not a bad little book
Not bad, but not great. It had a lot of time gaps and a lot of missing details that I would have loved to read. The whole book is about her being pregnant and we didn’t even get an insight to how the couple was feeling as she went into labor and had the baby. It just time jumped 4 months and left out so many details. There was room for a bunch of potential but the end of the book felt rushed.

REally Like This Book!
***4.25 Hammering Stars***This is the first book I've read by author, Elise Farber, and it won't be my last....I guarantee that! The writing was very good and kept me engaged all the way through. Our heroine is Abigail and she comes from a very wealthy family although she works hard to make her own way. Her father is an evil, controlling, manipulative horses butt! Example: He purchased the company where Abby worked then fired her thinking that would make her come to work for him. Only problem was that she would have a secretarial/assistant type job because women did not get jobs that held power in his companies. He then purchased her apartment building and doubled her rent trying to drive her back home! Didn't work. So he is just a real sweetheart!!! NOT!!! I wanted to hurt him...severely.Jordan is our hero and he is not well thought of at the beginning of the book. He meets Abigail at a bar. He is not a ONS kind of guy but he couldn't resist her when she invited him to come home with her. It had been a long time since he had been intimate with a woman and let's just say he was quick on the trigger. As soon as he lost it his phone rang. He stood up dressed and walked out the door without a word. Obviously Abby was very angry and disappointed in him. He didn't take the time to satisfy her in return...just walked out without a look or word.We find out two months later when he returns to see her and explain that he was called away on emergency business. He was getting his ducks in a row to sell his business for billions and someone had put that sale in jeopardy. It was on the day they reconnected that Abby was feeling sick. Very sick and following a bout of vomiting she passed out. Jordan took her to the hospital when he couldn't get her to regain consciousness and that is where she found out it wasn't just her hypoglycemia but also a pregnancy and a faulty IUD. At first he handled it well but then his memories began resurfacing about his father and all his father's women and illegitimate children. How they all tried to get money out of him for the births of all six or seven children. Even now two of those ex-wives and one ex-mistress still lived with him. So Jordan did what his father always did which was to try and pay the woman off, walk away, and get a team of lawyers ready to make her an offer and beyond that he was demanding full custody. Wow, what a way to win the woman whom you thought could just be it for him. He devestated her and shredded her heart. He had no clue who she was and how wealthy she was in her own right. If he had he would have realized she didn't need his money. Then once that is worked out we get to see a sweet love story. I enoyed this immensely and highly recommend it!

great story despite the hammer
You know when you read a blurb for a story and it’s everything you love about Billionaire stories, but when you start reading one little detail drives you crazy? Yeah this was that book. Now don’t take that as a sign that the story sucked, it was a simple tool that drove me crazy! Anywho....When Abigail went out with her best friend she didn’t anticipate meeting a gorgeous man, him taking her home and ravishing her in a night of heated passion, well that’s not quite how it went! While the pretence was hot, the actual fling was mass failure, leaving a very irritating and high strung Abby in her worst bad night stand. Who does the deed, takes a call and walks out.... ladies and gentlemen- Jordan O’Keith! But that bad night stand will change Abby’s life forever, even though it was wham bam thank you ma’am, it also turned into a new life. Secret baby time!!When Jordan walked out in Abby - not his finest hour, everything he’d worked for was in a knifes edge. On top of selling his company, taking care of his sick nephew getting a woman pregnant was not in the books. Assuming she’s in it for his wealth, Jordan throws everything at Abby, declaring war, using all of his power with money to crack her. sadly he underestimates her, her own wealth and her contacts. All of a sudden Jordan finds himself at a loss, Abby is a beautiful woman who takes crap from no one and he’s about to find out how hell out it all back together...As Abby deals with the pregnancy, losing her job, buying a home, her horrible “father” and his demands and a new job in a company she loves, she leaves the Jordan drama behind her, until there he is AGAIN! Soon the pair form a truce of sorts, discovering despite that aweful night their chemistry is still very strong, making a go of their reverse relationship is the first of many steps into the future!

The bad and the good
This is my first book by Elise Faber and I loved it.Abby is at the bar where her friend is being hit on by every man in sight, all except Jordan who has his eyes on Abby. They end up at her flat but during the events Jordan is called back to work leaving Abby unsatisfied and eight weeks later realising she is pregnant. They know nothing about each other, just the hot passion they had started to share.Jordan moves from sweet and nice to mean and nasty and Abby decides she can manage without him. But then Abby starts working at Jordan's business (although he sold it to his sister)They agree to try to get to know each other and they both share their parental issues which helps them move on and find their happy ever after. This story was more true to life than your usual romances.

...
When a one night stand ends up lacking on your end at least, 8 weeks later it seems that chapter isn't finished with you.You get everything from spice to dramatics.Scandelous families to down right jerk family members.I really like these two as a couple. They have the makings of best friends but all the tender loving aswell.Really easy read, fantastic writing but the last few chapters felt rushed to me.
