Harmonium by Maharaja Musicals, Folding, 9 Stops, In USA, Portable, Natural Color, 3 1/2 Octaves, Tuned to A440, Coupler, Bag, Indian Musical Instrument (PDI-AHH)

My Maharaja Harmonium arrived in perfect condition and in what I considered record time... only 4 days from India to New Jersey! This instrument is well crafted. It sounds beautiful and sustains very well. I absolutely love my harmonium and I love playing kirtan on it!

Build quality -poor! Both frame and keys poor quality! Cover already disfigured! Sound quality-poor! And squeaky!

The product is really nice. Everything is good, but the metal blocks that are used to hold the harmonium over the sittings on both the sides are problematic. The spring that is used to have push for the harmonium sitting up is not working properly from the very first day. I thought that I will send back this product for a replacement, but it had a lot of packing for postal purposes. So, I did not take this attempt. But, I really have this spring problem. I have take this metal block out manually every time I set this one for play, but this is too troublesome. I would like to have a suggestion from the product company if I can disassemble this item for fixing this spring problem.

First I have to admit I don't know anything about harmoniums. This is a gift I bought for someone else BUT every octave key sticks and it feels like very poor construction, as if it might fall apart at any moment. This may be par for the course at this price range, I'm only giving my limited perspective.

Lovely harmonium with a few flaws. When i choose to pump on the left side, i keep hearing a spring sound and when i checked, the was a spring on the left side. Also, the lowest c note needs a heavy duty spring. It sticks down. It only works normal when i put 3 normal springs on it. Other than that it is lovely and the kali wood smells great '''
