Red Lace Circular 16-inch (40cm) Stainless Steel Knitting Needle; Size US 9 (5.5mm) 7016-9

I can only repeat what everyone seems to say about these wonderful knitting needles. I have been working on a long skinny scarf for Christmas. It is lovely but the yarn loves to split. I am used to circular needles, metal. I tried one pair that would not relax. Tried straight bamboo needles that were too blunt and the yarn dragged. I got the Chiaogoo 5.5mm (US size 9) 16 inch red lace circular knitting needles to try out after seeing all the wonderful reviews. WOW! I am flying through my knitting now without dropping or adding a stitch. I love the nicely pointed tips, knitting the lace pattern stitches is so much easier now; the magical red lace cord’s only purpose in life is to hold the two needles together. It doesn’t make you twist and turn it to position how you are holding the needles. It doesn’t have a mind of its own. It just lays there (as it should!). I am going to save my money and get the full line of these needles. Yes they are that good in my opinion. I’m sure you will love them. PS. I did get the entire system and I am very pleased with it. Worth every penny spent. Endless combinations can be made and everything I need is at my fingertips. The needles stay firmly attached to the cords. I am still in love with this system. As a beginner knitter who typically buys the cheaper needles, I absolutely love these! I have had zero issues and no complaints what so ever! I bought the ChiaoGoo needles for my first colorwork project. I had heard amazing things about to brand and wanted to know if they were truly better than the cheaper alternatives. I do think my experience and ease of knitting has I improved. The yarn glides very nicely when in use, but stays put while I set my project down or to the side. The needles fit nicely in my hands and are lightweight. I have no regrets about spending the extra money and will be sticking with this needle brand!

I knit a lot, and these are the only needles I use. They're smooth and the yarn glides easily across them. They will last forever so I'll have to teach someone to knit so I can pass them on. Well worth the price and no need to pay more for "luxury" needles. This size is perfect for using DK yarn to make a hat.

This brand of knitting needles is my #1 go-to choice for knitting. They're well made, high quality needles that glide smoothly through any fiber of yarn & don't snag where the cable connects to the needles. There is actually a metal cable encased in a protective coating & I have never had one of these cabled needles break! This 16" cable is literally the perfect length & size (2.75) for knitting my adult sized Musselburgh hats with DK weight yarn. If a project calls for a size or length I don't already have, I always turn to ChiaoGoo first, hoping they'll have the size needles & length of cable I need. If you're looking for the best made cabled needle to work with, buy this brand! Only the red cabled needles will do for me; they're seriously the very best, most comfortable & well made ones I have found & I tried a few. None of the others compare to these.

Just received my needles. I want to say how much I really like them. Haven’t used them before but I think they are my favorite!!

Stainless steel needles are not flimsy. The transition from the cord to the needles is smooth and trouble free. Sturdy cord. I would definitely recommend.

Very expensive compared with buying one in a shop. I was not able to do so when I needed this needle.

I have purchased all sets and circular individuals. I would never buy another brand but chiagoo. Absolutely love them.
