I have had this light for 3 months now and like it very much. It is easily programmable to turn on and off, as well as specifying a "day" and "night" function. (You can choose a light color and intensity for each.) It is just "set and forget" if you want a fixed schedule. The light unit itself does get warm, but doesn't seem to add heat to the water (I use it over a glass aquarium top). The "brackets" suspend the light unit about 1" over the top.

One of the best budget lights ive used for the money. Could be alittle better on the control settings options but it works good. Can be difficult to set up. Take your time setting it up. Does get pretty warm. But most powerful lights like this do.

This is a good light. Made my 55 gallon tank look amazing. The blue light was especially nice for mimicking moonlight/nighttime which my nocturnal fish appreciated. Would be 5 stars but the power supply quit just after a year.

I love the light. I like how it can also change colors. All my tanks have one. It’s amazing and makes the tank look pretty. All the fish are easy to see in the tank.

I love it. I kept having trouble with algae growth. Tank is lightly stocked, I feed sparingly, and shorten the lighting hours but still algae. Grok recommended this due to its ability to change the lighting intensity in the DIY setting. It is awesome. The tank is all timed through 8 lighting stages at the intensity I want. Game changer. I am hoping to see less algae in my future! The standard bright lights are just too intense and NOT natural. The directions are easy to follow on the control. The light brackets are adjustable to fit my tank making it stable. Awesome product!

Extremely good value. Best bang for the buck I have found. Mildly annoying to set the timer only because for sections 7 and 8 is for the moon lights only and it does not tell you that until the last page of the DIY program instructions. Cost was a couple dollars more than on the Hygger site itself but got it next day instead of next week so again worth it.

I bought three 18-24" size for my 3 ten gallon tanks. The actual length of the fixture itself (not including the metal legs) is 16.3 inches. The actual lighted length is 12". The control panel is infuriating. Once one gets familiar with it things are are a bit less infuriating. But then I do things like clean the top of the tanks and open the glass canopy to reach inside the tank to do whatever I need to do and the fixture again pisses me off. The touch panel is so effing sensitive and ANY TOUCH OF IT WHATSOEVER completely ruins the settings. Can we just go in and reset? NO!!!!!!!! NO YOU CANNOT! You have to do a FACTORY RESET to get in and you have to reprogram everything again. Okay, once we are familiar with this- less infuriating, right? WRONG. The FACTORY RESET becomes an obstinate prick that doesn't want to happen. The up and down arrows have to be held at the same time. Up with pop SOP on the screen. But when that pops up you better unplug the stupid fixture within half of a nano second or it goes away too fast. If you do not unplug the fixture whilst the screen has SOP on it then the stupid fixture will not do a factory reset. Simply unplugging it from the wall will not reset the stupid thing either. After a few factory resets and SOP doesn't want to pop up anymore. Wanna know what's really fun? When your cat or kids accidentally brush up on the stupid control pad too. I wake up in the middle of the night to check the stupid things to see if they are still on because they could have been accidentally touched and what do ya know? The lights are on all night sometimes bc someone accidentally brushed the control pad! I hate these things so much. I am trying to figure out a way to block the stupid control pads. I tried putting layers of painters tape over the them but NOPE. Still sensitive. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FIXTURE AT ALL unless you can put it somewhere that it will never again be touched or you will risk going mad.

Hygger can make some nice lights. This light is terrible for programming. The instructions and details are terrible. I’ve given up trying to program it and bought another light. If you need 12 hours of light by default and the hours it selects work for you - it’s a great light. In fact it was great for a dry start on a tank. But once I added live stock and needed to program hours it sucked.

Firstly, the delivery is great! It came earlier than expected. The product's build is good. The complaints by reviewers about the control panel being sensitive to touch is real. Just have to learn to get to use to it. Overall, it is a good product from my unboxing it and trying out the modes and settings. The standard mode should be adequate. Just ensure the time settings of Day-ON and Day-OFF that work for you.

Only problem is that the user manual is too concise to understand the settings. Otherwise this is the best light I ever used in my 20 + years of this hobby.

Sus funciones de simulación del Sol y luna me gustaron mucho, pues no se prende ni se apaga de golpe, si no que va incrementando y reduciendo su intensidad lumínica en una pre programación de fábrica, y solo ajuste a mi hirió preferido y está funcionando hizo lo suyo automáticamente. La recomiendo mucho, yo me he dedicado a fabricar peceras de acrílico y dar mantenimiento, y está lámpara supero mis esoectativas dado su precio, pero hay que considerar que no la recomendaría para corales vivos en peceras marinas, pero si para plantas en acuario de agua dulce. Valió la pena la compra y solo espero que dure lo suficiente 😃👍

The length dimension is short of 2 inches .. wouldnt you consider it a little too much and not show it as 30-36 inches?? Or is that an incorrect item sent ??
