In Natural oil finish the bench comes in two lengths, to take in a view from the porch or enjoy a cup of tea in the garden. The attractive gloss finish in Black or White lets this bench blend well with indoor dΓ©cor as well, for casual seating, or an occasional bench in a plantroom, mudroom or hall. - GRACEFULLY PROPORTIONED: Our 4-foot benches are our most popular size. These Lutyens Benches measure 54"W x 23"D x 38Β½"H, with seat: 48"W x 18Β½"D - CLASSIC ENGLISH GARDEN STYLE: Our Lutyens Benches were inspired by the original Thakeham seat, designed at the turn of the last century by British architectural icon, Edwin Lutyens, for the garden at Little Thakeham, West Sussex, England. This perennial bench design has never faded and we now consider it a garden classic. - EUCALYPTUS WOOD: Made of Eucalyptus grandis wood that is sustainably harvested and finished with a natural oil finish. Maintaining the finish with periodic reapplication of oil will preserve the deep reddish wood color, and ensure longevity. Left to the elements, the wood will naturally age to silvery grey, as will teak, cedar or acacia. We recommend protecting furniture indoors or with a cover during extreme weather months. - EASY ASSEMBLY: All of our Eucalyptus furniture is shipped flat, with simple assembly instructions provided. - 54-inch w by 23-inch d by 39-inch h - Natural oil finish - Crafted from sustainably harvested hardwood - Knocked down for compact shipping and easy assembly - Crafted from sustainably harvested hardwood ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Item Weight | 43 Pounds | | Size | 4-ft | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 23"D x 54"W x 39"H | | Style Name | Lutyens | | Color | Natural | | Furniture Finish | White | | Product Care Instructions | Wipe with Dry Cloth | | Frame Material Type | Wood | | Material Type | Wood | | Maximum Weight Recommendation | 400 Pounds | | Seating Capacity | 2 | ## Images ![ACHLA DESIGNSOFB-01 Lutyens Indoor/Outdoor Garden Bench, Natural, 4 ft - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61D-Cw93JHL.jpg) ![ACHLA DESIGNSOFB-01 Lutyens Indoor/Outdoor Garden Bench, Natural, 4 ft - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81PI57k3npL.jpg) ![ACHLA DESIGNSOFB-01 Lutyens Indoor/Outdoor Garden Bench, Natural, 4 ft - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61dy-w2fYrL.jpg) ![ACHLA DESIGNSOFB-01 Lutyens Indoor/Outdoor Garden Bench, Natural, 4 ft - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/810iPGAbpWL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars excellent product *by L***S on Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2024* excellent, easy to assemble ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars ITS A VERY NICE BENCH BUT WHITE IS TROUBLE *by M***B on Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2017* I got the bench in white. It came yesterday. It was super easy to put together. 15 minutes tops and I'm not very handy. It's not flimsy and has a nice but not impossible to move weight to it. On the instructions it recommends moving the white painted one inside for the winter and also recommends not having it in the sun and not to clean with bleach so I wonder how I will deal with enevetable mildew. It does say its appearance will change once its outside. This wood has a lot of oil in it so I suspect the paint will probably crack and chip. This I knew when I bought it but I had my heart set on white.I originally planned to have it in my shade garden year round but am now rethinking that. Right now it's sitting under a window in my foyer and looks quite nice. That may be it's winter home. I doubt you have these issues with natural oiled wood ones but I'm not sure about that. I know you wouldn't with teak, not sure about eucalyptus. Anyway I'm quite pleased with it and I'm a perfectionist. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely stunning classic ! *by L***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2013* The black lacquer finish makes this Sir Edwin Lutyens classic English garden bench a focal point on my stone patio . The wood is excellent quality , the finish is amazing . It was not difficult to put together ( I dislike DIY stuff intensely ) just so you know . The price is great ! I saw the exact piece in white lacquer at a famous patio furniture store for ten TIMES the price I paid . So that made my day . I have bought a bright red seat cushion and two streamlined rectangular side cushions in a beautiful striped fabric ; and people with high-end decorators ask me where I got my gem ! It is also really comfortable . SO GLAD I bought it ! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/2056512-achla-designsofb-01-lutyens-indoor-outdoor-garden-bench-natural-4](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/2056512-achla-designsofb-01-lutyens-indoor-outdoor-garden-bench-natural-4) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
