**Q: Is this wood stain waterproof? Hoping to use it for soap trays...**
A: Hi, the wood stain isn't water proof.
but Using a little linseed oil would over the stain
Would do the job nicely.

**Q: Hi, i am restoring an oak dining table. i plan on applying this medium oak. can i use danish oil (or something else) on top to protect?**
A: Yes, our dyes are designed to be sealed and protected with oil, wax or varnish (we also supply all these products via our Amazon store).

**Q: Could it be used on primed mdf**
A: I did not prime the part of my project which was mdf, as it is water stain it absorbs well and needs a couple of coats (mine was a black stain). It needs a finish to protect (varnish or the like) a couple of coats.

**Q: Is sanding from 150 to 240 on redwood too high for dye to absorb?**
A: I would sand the softwood to 120 grit, making the wood very receptive to the dye. I would glide over it with 240 grit before the final coat of varnish if using.
