She's wrong. It's a burr grinder. **Q: Does static electricity build up in grounds cup making grounds fly all over the counter when opened?** A: Simple solution. Let the grinds sit for a moment and give the machine a tap or town on the counter post grinding to let them set. Slightly more involved solution. Wet the beans with a shot from a plant mister before grinding. Just a tiny bit. Alternate solution. Stick to heavier/olier beans. They tint stick to the walls but clog up on the burr more. Involved solution. Wire a grounding wire around the burr and chute and stick it to the counter or the ground socket. Expensive solution. Get one with a full metal body and ceramic burr grinder that will dissipate static electricity through a proper three plug wire. Those can get a bit pricy tho. **Q: Is it loud?** A: It depends on the settings. very coarse it's about as loud as any blade grinder, on the finest setting it's about half as loud, think the difference between level 1 and level 3 on a 3 speed blender, but the noise is half the beans being ground and the other half the size of the bits getting spit out into the container. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/20551455-krups-8000035978-gx5000-professional-electric-coffee-burr-grinder-with-grind](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/20551455-krups-8000035978-gx5000-professional-electric-coffee-burr-grinder-with-grind) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
