Perfect tool for BMW fan removal
YES, the fan CAN come off!! This tool is perfect for getting the fan off. Used this on my 2004 E46 330cic convertible. Fan hadn't been removed in a decade and seemed to be welded onto the shaft. Used this tool with a sledge hammer and it broke the nut loose. Hint, use a wood block or something thick and solid to hold the “fixed” tool in place on the water pump pulley, or you'll have to absorb the hammer blows with your palm - not fun, and very inefficient. This tool fit perfectly into the thin opening to grip the fan nut and the water pump bolts to allow aggressive untightening of the fan nut. Did a two-man job (one holding the block and fixed tool, the other on the hammer and nut tool). Hint, when you replace it, use some anti-seize!

I recommend this tool kit I used it to remove fan clutch from my BMW X5 and was very easy 15 minutes my new clutch was installed

Very helpful in a tight area
Helpful tool for confined space and saved me the time of creating my own. Didn’t keep me from still saying a few choice words during removal but I’m sure it would’ve been worse without this item. Good value

Tool works great 👍
Worked great for me. Idk what these other people are talking about it bent out of shape or something. Got my BMW e36 water pump/fan off in a jiffy no problems at all.

inexpensive but invaluable for brake pad replacement.
If you have calipers that compress through rotation, there is no other way to do it other than with this. The case is a nice touch but thin and doesn’t always hold parts in place (they are identified so you know where they go back). Only real issue is the sheet that says what piece to use was just wrong for Ford. Visually matched up and was good to go.

LIFE SAVER
2008 KIA Spectra requires a special tool (at least for me) to properly change the back brakes. This tool worked GREAT. And what a wonderful $!

Definitely the right tool for the job.
I took a chance and ordered despite some of the reviews, & I’m glad i did. Exactly what I needed. Heavy duty. I cant imagine the damage that people have described. Had my shroud, fan, & clutch out in less than 5 minutes. I would say that I’d buy them again, but these are gonna last for years to come.

Did the job as described, some issues with my vehicle not the tool
For my 2004 BMW 325i with 160,000 miles this worked fine for taking off the fan clutch. Getting the fan clutch off the water pump was a 10-15 minute struggle but not the tools fault. One of the YouTube videos I watched showed someone who recommended bending the shaft just slightly for the holding tool grab the water pump bolts better. I have a California car so I have no idea what kind of rust and what not could cause someone to bend or break the 32mm tool. I also took in the info the fan clutch is reverse threaded. To each their own, no issues on my end.
