LGA 1155 Motherboard, USB3.0 SATA Desktop Computer Motherboard Sound Card/Network Card Mainboard for Intel B75 SATA Motherboard Replacement Motherboard

I bought this board to build an inexpensive Linux Mint workstation with some extra parts I had laying around. I used a spare 240gb ssd, a core i5-3570s and 8gb ddr3-1600 ram with no issues. No this is not a high end gaming motherboard but I must say I was very impressed for the sub $50 that I payed. Linux loaded very quickly and all ports worked perfectly. I tested all usb ports, the vga and hdmi plus the sound and they all worked out of the box. Plus the usb 3.0 header on the motherboard worked well with the case front panel usb 3.0 ports. If you are brand conscious or building a retro high end gaming machine look elsewhere but for a home office rig this worked well. Unlike some reviewers I received a front panel diagram with my board which made the build simple. A shout out to the reviewer who posted the front panel pin diagram in his review, very cool indeed.

So overall I can't REALLY complain the board came as advertised well the first one did. Decided to get a 2nd one and while most of it is the same the new board wasn't 100% the same. The 2nd board had 1 less sata slot than the previous board but the 2nd one does have a nvme slot. I didn't account for this so it was extra I wasn't expecting to spend. Though I'll appreciate the extra performance it's extra I didn't anticipate. I will say my BIG complaint is the vague piece of paper that comes with it "explaining" the m.2 pinout...yeah 4 sets of 3 pins with 2 jumpers on them with a vague description on where to set them for what. Either way. Board looks clean. All black no green. Smaller form factor will fit in just about any case. Cpu socket protector. Plus the io shield and extra sata cable. Mainly for the io shield though.

For starters, it features a standard American Megatrends BIOS. This nearly guarantees good results. Standard pin outs for USB, USB3, audio, and front panel connector all work well. Spacing for the CPU and cooler is perfect. Nice metal backplate present behind the motherboard.I haven't assembled a PC from scratch in well over a decade. This motherboard gave me exactly zero issues and booted up immediately after assembly. Screw holes were exactly where they should be. Even the port cover fit perfectly. Maybe it's flashbacks from older motherboards, but this one sure seemed like a breeze to assemble.One thing "missing" was a pin layout page. Most of the connectors are obvious, but the front panel connector set took a quick search. The colors in the picture for this review don't match the motherboard, but the pin layouts do. Pretty easy to figure it out. Positive lines go to the colored wires, white wires are negative.If you have an older CPU laying around, get this inexpensive motherboard and get it working again. If you don't need the computer, use the parts and donate the computer to a school or family member. (That's what I'm doing.)

This is a great value for the price. Work excellent.
